No we haven’t added to the family in the last month, because we’re already pretty full up with adding a puppy and a new baby to this household in 2020. Not to mention that we’re adding an extension to our house – making it a triple threat with life craziness. Through all of the changes, and there are many, I have to pride our three dogs and our cat for remaining as cool and loving as always. I know that changes aren’t easy for pets, but we’re a pack! We do everything together and we support each other through everything. I feel loved by them, and I’m hoping they feel loved by me. Even though I’m often working or taking care of a newborn, that fun playtime and those everyday adventures are super important to me. That’s why I’m excited about The Pack.
Why to Watch The Pack Amazon Prime Video:
The Pack:
The Pack Amazon video is a new global unscripted series that celebrates the unrivaled bond between dogs and their human companions. It is hosted by Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn and her canine co-host, Lucy. This amazing series features 12 teams of humans and their dogs (or dogs and their humans) on an EPIC adventure across multiple continents. And this Amazon Original series will premiere on November 20th (tomorrow!) on Amazon Prime Video – in more than 240 countries and territories! There’s a lot at stake here – like a life-changing $750,000 for the winning team and their charity: $500,000 goes to the winners (human and dog duo) and the additional $250,000 prize goes to the animal charity of their choice. So incredible!
More on The Pack:
I think this is so cool that The Pack donated $250,000 to multiple charities and animal rescue organizations in each country during filming. This helped to pay it forward to dogs, and those who love them around the world. It’s so exciting to think about what it will take to win – teams will have to depend on their understanding of one another’s strengths and weaknesses and prove to have the strongest bond in the pack. At each location, these human/dog teams will face fun and exciting challenges. And these challenges have been designed in concert with a team of accredited veterinarians and certified dog experts that also accompany the group on their exciting journey, making sure it is a positive experience for everyone. I can’t wait to watch!

Some tips on bonding with your dogs:
1 – Start training, if you haven’t already, or maintain it. This creates communication between your dog and you. It helps her focus, and fosters teamwork and belonging. We teach her to come, sit, stay, down, down-stay, etc. Teach your dog a new trick once a month. This will make your dog smarter, and will strengthen your bond.
2 – Don’t just play with her. Keep it special and engaged. When we first got Athena, we took her to the beach and she SWAM with us! We were so surprised. Fun and agility-based activities build loyalty and a deeper relationship.
3 – Have quiet time together. No gadgets, no screens, no devices – just the two of you.
4 – Turn negative experiences into positive experiences. Astro hates grooming and bathing, but those are bonding experiences in themselves. Use treats, toys and a slow transition to make the experiences more positive.
5 – Create in your dog a sense of purpose. Dogs want to work and serve and play and focus. I notice this in Lucy most of all!
So, which of my dogs do you think belongs with me on The Pack?

Sounds like an awesome show for the whole family to watch. Added to my calendar to check it out now. Thanks for sharing 🙂
I am totally looking forward to this show! I think my dog and I would lose, but we would have fun on a worldwide trip/game together 🙂
