Their products are simple. They’re made with natural ingredients and no toxins or parabens, they are totally premium quality, and they’re handmade in the USA! Since they’re made for all skin types, I have no trouble stealing Cassidy’s shaving soap! When I first saw what he brought home, I had many questions. Why wasn’t it in a can? How did you USE it? (the answers to that are easily found on their website) Why do you love it? And finally, can I try it too? The answer was yes.
We have the lavender shaving soap and the refill puck. They lather in seconds, and hydrate and moisturize. I love that the company spent over two years getting their shaving soap ingredients just right, and they continuously tweak the formula to make it better. To explain how it works, the shaving soaps create a luxurious, creamy lather and that provides plenty of cushion and slickness. And then the razor can glide over the skin, and there are no razor burns at all! The products and their containers are organic, vegan, plastic-free and cruelty-free, where possible. The skin is the largest organ of our bodies!
Some Shaving Soap Tips!
1 – Choose the subtle lavender scent – because it has a nice earthy smell and is SO good.
2 – Put the shaving soap in a shaving mug and put it in the microwave for 15 seconds, watching it closely. Keep watching and doing 15 second increments until the shaving soap is ready for use! You can also use the stove top and boiling water.
3 – Take those extra steps to produce a luxurious lather. Your skin will thank you!
4 – Make sure to do some pre-shaving prep. Shower first, because clean skin is better for blades, and the steam opens up your pores and relaxes your skin. This will help minimize any skin irritations.
5 – Or, wash your face with warm water and cleanser and microwave a clean, damp towel to hold on your face.
6 – Use pre-shave oil as an alternative.
7 – Let the blade do the heavy work and don’t apply too much pressure.
8 – Take short strokes to avoid razor burn.
9 – Don’t pass over a lather-less surface. Ouch!
10 – Use an aftershave balm or lotion!
Obviously I don’t shave my face, but these tips can be applied to other body parts. The thing is, the ingredients in your shaving soap really matter! So that’s why I steal my husband’s shaving soap. Quite frankly, it rocks! I love that it protects my skin from the blade, and also moisturizes and rejuvenates it back to balance from skin oil that is lost during shaving.
