It’s time to talk real life stains and odors, especially difficult ones.

See, with three dogs and three kids, I’m amazed at the stains, and to a lesser extent, the odors. Two of our dogs and two of our kids are on the more clean side, but it’s the little ones, I tell ya! Rider recently started crawling, and is trying to pull up. He is always a mess! He also eats meals with us, and particularly loves the berries from our garden. So when I do his laundry, I need to have some good tactics to getting rid of the red stains. We also have dog beds which have removable covers, so we’re able to throw those in the laundry too. And for the upholstery and other areas we can’t throw in the washing machine, we have a product for that as well. I’m happy to introduce some great products and tips for having a kids and pets household. What are we doing for stains and odors in the home? Read along, find out, and share your own!

What We’re Doing for Stains and Odors in the Home:

The Products:

Biz Liquid:

This awesome product is available in two sizes and cleans up to 80% better than detergent alone. It has more stain fighters than other brands and fights tough stains better than leading brands, guaranteed. The unique blend of enzymes quickly dissolves stains and odors, and it’s made with biodegradable surfactants. With Biz, you can pre-treat stains directly by wetting the area with warm water and applying the product. You rub gently and then wait 5-10 minutes. Wash as usual. You can also use the liquid to boost the power of your detergent! I do that.

Biz Powder:

I have needed this a lot this week! Biz Powder cleans up to 80% better than detergent alone as well, and contains more stain fighters than other brands. It’s the original form of Biz! You can add the powder to every load to boost the cleaning power of your detergent and eliminate tough stains. Or do a Pre-Soak: Dissolve 1/2 cup Biz in a gallon of warm water and soak garments 1-4 hours, or a Pre-Treat: Wet the stained area, make a paste with Biz Powder and warm water. Spread paste over the stain, let sit up to 30 minutes, then wash as usual.

Why use products with enzymes?

It’s because enzymes are amazing tools of nature! Bacteria produces enzymes, and then enzymes work to break down waste particles into smaller pieces that bacteria can easily consume. Then these smaller pieces of organic waste, urine, grease, and stains become food for bacteria that is converted into carbon dioxide and water. Why use them in cleaning products? It’s because they get rid of the need to use harsh chemicals in your home. And that’s because enzymes are natural, non-toxic and safe for people, pets, and the planet.

A clean home with kids and pets IS possible!

Clean kids pets after being outside:

It’s normally after your pets and kids have been outside that the trouble begins. If they’ve been on grass or at the beach, or, even worse, it’s been raining, then you won’t appreciate them running through your home, and making a mess of your previously clean house. But you can’t blame your pets and kids: they’re just excitable. Make sure they’re not able to run a mess through your property by having a cleaning station at the entry point for your home. It’s much easier to take a couple of minutes to clean their paws and shoes rather than have to mop the entire house.

Try to have the right materials:

Pets and kids can be tough on furniture. You’ve spent good money on making sure you get a piece that is both comfortable and makes the room look good, only to find that it is worn out before its time because of your kids and pets. You can’t them from having fun, but you can make your furniture less affected by their enthusiastic attitude. Look at buying furniture that is made with fabrics that are suitable for pets and kids, and you’ll have a line of defense against damage. If it’s tough enough to withstand scratch marks ands cuff marks, and is easy to clean, then it’ll be good.

React fast to stains and odors:

Accidents and messes happen. You can’t stop that! The important thing is not that it happens, but how you respond. If you move fast and take steps to ensure that it’s thoroughly cleaned as soon as possible, you’ll prevent damage and your home will stay in pristine condition for longer.
