Wordless Wednesday With Eddie Money Lyrics.

“Well if I could walk on water

Wordless Wednesday

And if I could find some way to prove
If I could walk on water would you believe in me
My love is so true

Walk On Water

walk on water

wordless wednesday

Well I’m no angel, now, I’ll admit
I made a few bad moves I should regret
I hurt you once or so you said
Just one more chance is all you get

walk on water

wordless wednesday

Didn’t mean to do you wrong again
Worse things have been done by better men
Baby, baby, don’t, don’t treat me this way
I know, yes, I’ve got to pay now, I’m still paying

All along, I told you lies
To err is human, forgive is divine
Don’t be a fool, don’t settle the score
Cause I can’t take it no more, I can’t take it

Do I have to walk, walk, walk on water for you

eddie money

Hey baby, baby, there’s a little time, let’s spend it together
We’ll get over what we left behind, there’s our future together
Yeah, well let’s stay together

wordless wednesday

Well, if I could walk on water
And if I could find some way to prove
If I could walk on water would you believe in me, my love is true

My love is so true, do I have to walk, oh, walk on water for you
If I had to walk, girl
If I had to walk, walk, walk
Do I have to walk on water, walk on water for you
Do I have to walk on water
Do I have to find some way to prove
Do I have to walk on water, walk on water for you
Do I have to walk on water
Do I have to find some way to prove
Yeah, yeah, walk on water, walk on water for you” — Eddie Money

You’re probably NOT wondering why I did this for a post, because HELLO, Eddie Money and all. How could you not? We walked on water in these photos! If you are wondering why I did a nearly Wordless Wednesday post using photos of water and Eddie Money lyrics, let’s just say it’s because I wanted to share the rest of my Cape Cod photos, and they made me have this song in my head. For days. And also, I’m so irritated with technical problems and a torn dress (thanks, BELLA), and a missing paycheck, and making too many plans, and the fact that Des is still awake at nearly 10:00pm and he figured out how to turn the room light on. So until everything is righted again, inevitably, I’ll be editing photos and listening to Eddie Money.

And for this video? Enjoy.

  1. Totally had Lily in my room last night until 11pm until she crashed in my bed. I must have fallen asleep with her and Kevin carried her into bed at some point, but then she resurfaced at 7 am with a juice box and crashed again in my bed until 9 am. So, know the feeling well, but love this song by Eddie money and how you used it to describe and share the rest of your Cape Cod photos. Awesome and made me smile on the night before Kindergarten starts here for Emma. So huge hugs for that!! πŸ™‚

    1. I ate some popcorn, because I was super hungry, and watched Food Network. Fell asleep. At around 1:00 am, Scarlet came out all cheerful because she wanted to sleep in our bed. I just remember Cassidy saying, “Mama ate some popcorn and forgot to do her work!” He’s right. I have two photo jobs to finish. Oops!
Anyway, it was silly. This is silly too!
Hoping it’s cheering you up tonight!!!

      1. Totally are cheering me up and definitely silly, but I love it and you so!! And I did good getting most of my work done and caught up today. Just hoping it stays this way at least for a day or two here! πŸ™‚

  2. Now I will be singing this song in my head for the rest of the night… LOVE the pics!!! So beautiful. I just keep thinking of you and Cassidy with this song… after all you had been through. Like Cassidy is singing this song to you… over and over again.

Damn I have GOT to read your story…

    1. I just know you will someday and I can’t wait until that day. I’ve been singing this song for three days. I think my family always knows what my posts will be about because I’ll be singing that inspired song for hours beforehand.

  3. That looks so relaxing, every single picture. I love beach vacations. They are the best. Athena looks like she loves the water too. πŸ™‚ And you brought back good memories with that Eddie Money song!

  4. Hey sounds like a good plan to me. Editing photos and listening to Eddie Money when kids don’t sleep, dresses get torn and life happens is a lot more fun than crying. Hope you do find that check though, that is the pits! Maybe your cute Spidey can help you find it if he’s awake and all πŸ™‚

  5. I LOVE the Cape and your pictures are amazing! Where (if you don’t mind my asking) on the Cape is that beach. I don’t recall ever seeing a dissent to the beach quite like that. Love Eddie Money, too. My favorite is Take Me Home Tonight.

    1. I love that song too! I don’t mind at all about the beaches. Usually we go to a beach called Long Nook beach in Truro. These beaches are the same town but they are on the Bay side. I think one is Corn Hill and one is Whitman house. Something like that?

  6. Well, at least the little dogs haven’t figured out how to turn on the lights – yet. I always say having them is like having a perpetual toddler. (Once you get out of the newborn stage with them, that is)

It looks like Athena was quietly judging you humans in a couple of photos. She told me she thinks she definitely made the most of out the trip to the ocean and she felt like you guys might have been phoning it in up at the shore. πŸ˜‰ She really looks like she loved her trip to the beach – such joy!

She also told me she didn’t feel like it was her fault your dress got ripped, but she’s super sorry it happened anyway. She would buy you a hundred new dresses if she could, because that’s how she rolls.

    1. Athena would never rip my dress! It was Bella, the gray cat I’m not sure about. I’m sure about everything else.
What was amazing about Athena that day is that she would follow all four of us and keep nuzzling each of us to let us know she was there. The most perfect guard dog in the world. For a family.

  7. My kids are almost always awake at 10 pm. We are usually all in the bed, but they are talking and desperately trying not to fall asleep. They usually fall asleep by 10:30 pm though and sleep until around 8:30 am. Sometimes my daughter will sleep until 10 am. So I do most of my work early in the morning while they are still asleep. However, if they wake up early it early throws me off. Like today my daughter woke up at 5:45 am and has been in my lap while I’m trying to blog.
Your pictures are amazing and it looks like you guys almost have the beach to yourselves.

    1. I think if my kids slept that late every day, I would put them to bed late every night! He is usually asleep by eight. Last night he was just going crazy! It was actually hilarious.

  8. Mateo and Lesley are usually in bed by 10 but they talk for about half an hour before finally passing out. Sometimes, Lesley even comes to tell me that Mateo fell asleep before 10 and is snoring. I hope you find that missing paycheck!

  9. I am not looking forward to the day Eve figures out how to do things like that. It’s bad enough she’s started pulling herself into a standing position! (And can’t get herself down.) Beautiful photos, feels like summer!

    1. I think I remember that stage and it’s hilarious! When they can stand up but they’re not quite sure that sitting down will be okay too. Adorable.

  10. nice pics – looks like a fun time at the beach and everyone is enjoying it!

now that my kids are teens – I go to bed before them usually – lol

I haven’t heard that song in a long time – I actually saw Eddie Money in concert a long time ago.

    Have a great day πŸ™‚

  11. Every single picture is perfection! πŸ™‚ Thanks for sharing those beautiful pictures, they were relaxing reminders of summer… I totally need relaxation.

I’ve been having blog problems for what seems like forever. I cannot post pictures or HTML, so another day without a post πŸ™
    All the best, always~
    XOXO

    1. Mine were not showing up in Bloglovin since last week and that gave me a lot of stress. It seems to be okay now because I’m getting comments from two posts ago a lot, which just proves that it didn’t show up until now and that a lot of traffic comes from there!
Hang in there, my sweet friend. I am just sad that I missed some of your posts but I did get them all at once. Let me know if I ever skip any!

  12. Oh gosh…these photos…Your timing couldn’t be anymore perfect, as I’m adjusting to the idea that there is hardly any summer left. My favorite is Athena in the background while dad and Scarlet attend to the bucket’s contents. Athena is an amazing dog, swimming in the water like I’d want my dog to do. I hope you find that missing paycheck (check the couch?)

    1. It was actually missing in the mail but I got it today! Oh happy day!
I think summer really is ending. I’ve been in denial. There are things to look forward to in the fall, though.
      xoxo

  13. Eddie Money kind of feels perfect for a Wednesday that isn’t truly in the middle of this week. And those pictures … I’m still jealous of those trunks. I could probably walk on water in some shark trunks.

    1. It breaks my heart to tell you that something happened to those trunks on Monday. Something that involved a long time without diaper use and nearly having to cut them off. Let’s just say they went into the trash. They were too small on him anyway, though. We can always get him more.

  14. Eddie Money lyrics immediately conjure nostalgia for the past. As I type my comment, I have a smile on my face. Thanks for taking me back to beginnings and sharing your memories/shots of what his lyrics mean to you.

    1. It’s like they think it’s a superpower or something. He wants to do it all the time. He did it once 30 times during a vet appointment. Thankfully, the vet had a good sense of humor!

    1. I do think that a lot! And somebody on my Facebook page pointed out that another good Eddie Money song for this occasion would be, “I Wanna Go Back.”

  15. Oh my goodness! These sunset pictures are some of the beautiful photos I’ve ever seen! I think these are my favorite pictures. I also love the beach photos with the family and how you were able to catch everyone at a distance. Athena is like another child in the family…so cute!

    1. Well maybe I will have to frame one for you for a baby gift! No pressure, though. I imagine in a landlocked state it is nice to think about the ocean sometimes. Just as it is nice for me to think about the desert sometimes.

      1. Really, Tamara? I would so love that. I was so excited when I read this comment in the car that I told my husband about it. I really do love those photos. If you remember and if you can, I’d be so happy to get it. πŸ™‚ And you are right about my thoughts of the ocean sometimes!

  16. Athena wasn’t afraid of the water! Where are Bella and Dinah during your Cape Cod vacation? LOL. Brittnei is right. Your sunset photos are amazing.

  17. These are the pictures I have been waiting for…and they did not disappoint!!!! Just gorgeous. Thank you for taking me back to the Cape for summertime…for at least 8 minutes πŸ™‚

    1. Eight minutes!!! That’s great. You’re totally helping my bounce rate with that!
I sadly don’t have any more Cape Cod photos.. until the next time we go! Which might be this fall.

  18. I’m not gonna lie – If I ever visit your house and see Athena live and in person; she may end up disappearing with me. Just sayin’ she’s the CUTEST dog EVER! LOL OMG It’s mini SPIDERMAN! That’s so freakin’ adorable!! It’s 9:45PM here and I”m not done with dinner which is fine because the bf isn’t home yet – got off work late.. this is how you get fat eating delicious mashed potatoes before bedtime. Oh well #YOLO. Happy Hump Day lovely! -Iva

    1. Wait, you had mashed potatoes before bed? Can I come over? I had baked potatoes for dinner. With cheese. And lots of butter. I seriously had nothing else. I usually am much more nutritious than that, but it’s been a bit of a week and I needed comfort food.
Athena is as amazing as she seems. More so.

      1. I am today since the bf is mad late and we like to eat dinner together since we eat the same thing I cook – my son is a different, special case so I sit with him while he eats and he discusses his thoughts on Kirby Air Ride and Super Smash Bros. I could live off potatoes and cheese and eggs. Of course with condiments such as butter around me. It’s just comfort food at it’s finest. πŸ˜‰ Do you remember ‘A League of their Own’ the fat kid Stillwell Angel? If not scroll to 1:03 of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSJl-3OO1vI – that’s how I feel EVERYTIME I see Athena πŸ™‚

  19. You have such a gift with children’s photography. Clearly you loved your vacation this year. Though I understand how frustrating difficult nights are with the littles. Hopefully it’s a short-lived phase with Des!

    1. You know, it was just last night! And everything else sort of solved itself too.
I never knew I’d do children’s photography until I had children. Now it’s like I can’t imagine life without it!
      So thank you!

  20. I love Eddie Money! Loving the photos in the ocean. Going to Florida in October and cant wait to run along the beach. Also loving the crisp wet dog fur. lol

  21. GORGEOUS photos! Do you prefer to use a certain program for editing? And did you use some kind of special filter for those first several photos? I loved them! And not cool about all that stuff at the end…torn dress and too many plans and toddlers who don’t go to bed at a decent hour and figure out how to turn lights on. Sending you some serenity dust!

    1. Thanks! Most of that stuff has been worked out.
I use a combination of Adobe creative suite and Lightroom.
No special filters, though! Just sharpened and contrasted in Photoshop because I shoot RAW and the files aren’t sharpened and contrasted in the camera like jpegs.

  22. This is why I really love your blog. I don’t even know that song, but I made up a tune in my head and all of your pictures fit along perfectly. The pictures of the sunset were amazing. Everyone talks about how awesome the sunrise is, and they’re right, but the sunset has it’s own glory.

    1. It’s funny because usually I put the accompanying song or video in the beginning but this time I put it in the bottom so that your mind could tell the story before the song!

  23. Sorry you are having a rough day! I love this post. Probably one of my faves, especially since my favorite model, Athena is in them. Man, she is such a beauty!!

    1. Things have been looking up! Thank you. The missing paycheck is safe and sound. Everybody has been sleeping. My dress is still torn.
How convenient about the photos because I don’t think I could ever get tired of taking them!

  24. Kids who stay up too late… argh. I am an early to bed person, it’s not good when my 4 year old is trying to stay up later than MY bedtime! Gorgeous photos as always. I love the quality of the light, or the processing, I can’t tell which — they almost look like vintage photos.

    1. I noticed that about the vintage too. Most of it was the light because it was a golden sunset that night. I did get some free Photoshop actions from greater than Gatsby that I am excited to try out. A lot of people these days are using vintage actions. I usually like things very crisp but I’m looking forward to trying them.

    1. It’s not too late, right? Well it might be quite a drive for you. I could probably do it in the time that Scarlet is in school but not in the time that Des is in daycare. Drat.

  25. First of all ‘welcome’ to the W of WW πŸ™‚ And with such beautiful photos, and the memories you are capturing – priceless. I admit I stopped longest for that beautiful, long, peeling wave – hopefully I’ll see a few of those in a few weeks, too. And Athena, being wet as a poodle made me laugh πŸ™‚

    1. She did look so funny wet! We were so shocked when she just started swimming around us. I can’t do completely worthless Wednesdays, but I can have a heckuva time trying!

    1. I didn’t and it was a disaster! The light was absolutely perfect and we had a family member taking it. She was only focusing but she thought that she was actually pressing the shutter button down the whole way. So she “took” like 20 pictures and not one of them was actually taking a picture! Then we asked somebody else who underexposed everything. It was not good!

      1. Awww that’s when you want to say, I could have done better by myself. My dad is into photography too and he wanted to do my wedding. We argued with him that he had to be father of the bride for the ENTIRE day. He grudgingly agreed (as if he had a choice). But to this day he fusses about the quality of my wedding photos saying he shouldn’t have listened to us.

        1. It’s hard! You know. My sister is getting married in October, and there’s no way I can be the photographer. I’m a maid of honor and I have to be in photos and watching my sister and my kids and making sure they’re happy. Luckily she has a very fantastic photographer and I know that I won’t have to even think about it.

  26. So a funny story…
I saw him in concert and he was drunk and almost fell off of the stage.
    The end.
I do love him though. Chunky sings “Two Tickets To Paradise”
These are beautiful pictures. Hold on to them when the effing winter hits
