The Soft Water Difference With Morton Salt.

Sometimes you can go home again.

Growing up, we had soft water in our house. I don’t think I really knew what that meant, or appreciated it enough, because it was the only life I knew. It wasn’t until I went to college and then had city apartments, that I experienced hard water. The difference was huge! I’d go back home during winter and summer breaks and lavish in the soft water again. Why? Water softeners have many various benefits, but for me as a teenager and young woman, it was the skin and hair differences.

True that photo was my wedding day, but that hair is a product of soft water and curlers! Oh, and shampoo and conditioner of course. That’s it! That’s the difference. When I finally left New Jersey, nine years ago (yikes), I moved to San Francisco where every day was a good hair day. Yes, it was the lack of humidity, but it was the incredible soft water again! I couldn’t get enough. Then we moved to Northampton, MA and lived in a condo for a few years, and now we’ve been at our new house for four years. Wow. And now we’re finally making the switch, because my parent’s house still gives me the best hair days!

I want that here.

Clean, soft, and shiny hair is not the only benefit to a water softener. It’s a rewarding benefit for sure, but a water softener actually calls for a top seven list, as great things do.

Top Seven Benefits of Water Softeners:

  1. Easier cleaning. When you wash dishes and even clothes in hard water, you can end up with spots, streaks and soapy residue. Morton Water Softening Salt will help rinse soap and detergent more thoroughly, leaving everything looking and feeling cleaner.

  2. Soft water can reduce the amount of soap or detergent you need for cleaning, and that leads to lower expenses for such products. Bathtubs, showers, and sinks will stay cleaner longer, and are easier to maintain.

  3. I know I mentioned hair more, but your skin will also feel softer, cleaner, and smoother! And less dry.

  4. Fabrics! They last longer and whites stay white without the gray that hard water causes.

  5. Morton Water Softening Salt can preserve the life of all appliances that use water – like coffee and ice makers, dishwashers, and washing machines.

  6. Having a water softener in the house means faster water heating. Improved efficiency results in lower utility bills.

  7. Cleaner plumbing. Hard water leaves deposits in plumbing fixtures and pipes, and these deposits build up over time.

I tested our water earlier this year. After so many years of using soft water, and then not, I’d get so excited to shower at my parent’s house because of their water. I decided to invest in some products for our house, after getting coupons for Morton Water Softening Salt products. It’s easy to open and load the salt into the softener, and the benefits are just as I’ve always loved and remembered about them. It was informative to test our water which wasn’t very hard, but wasn’t soft either.

My hair will be happier again.
