Thanksgiving Turkey Cheese Balls: Recipe

These Thanksgiving Turkey Cheese Balls will be the hit of any Fall and Thanksgiving feast. The #recipe requires a few ingredients and will be enjoyed by all

Why, yes. These are adorable! I’m so glad you asked me to make them.

It really is beginning to look a lot like Thanksgiving around here. You can see it in the trees. They’re sort of top-heavy right now – brilliant orange with a fade down the middle, and also half naked. I had one last fall foliage photo shoot over the weekend. That doesn’t mean more won’t creep up. I do have head shots and Christmas card shots in the next few weeks, but if people want holiday card photos taken, they might be in for winter wonderland ones soon. And really, it’s all good.

Like Thanksgiving Turkey Cheese Balls.

Keep Astro in your thoughts today! He’s getting x-rays done to potentially (or probably) schedule a surgery for next week. He’s had a limp since birth which apparently comes with having a German Shepherd head on Basset Hound legs. I can’t wait until he’s not in pain anymore and he can follow his instincts to run around like a lunatic. I mean, he does that anyway, but not without repercussions. It comes along with having a puppy mind on stiff legs. So many conflicts. It’s like when you’re shaped like a turkey but you’re made of cheese. There’s no turkey in this recipe! So if you came here for turkey and cheese balls, and not turkey-shaped cheese balls.. I apologize. For everyone else, I present you this recipe without turkey.

Thanksgiving Turkey Cheese Balls:

What You Need:

7.5 oz Veggie Garden Cream Cheese
1 ½ Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Crushed Pecans
Slivered Almonds
Red Bell Pepper
Sliced Cheddar Cheese
Whole Peppercorns
Edible Food Coloring Markers

What You Do:

1 – In a medium size bowl, mix the cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese

2 – With a cookie scoop or spoon, make about a 1-inch ball, roll it in the crushed pecans, and place on parchment paper

3 – Take the edible markers and color the slivered almonds any colors you’d like

4 – You’ll need 4 almonds per cheese ball – place 4 almonds towards the back of the cheese ball

5 – Cut the cheese slices into little triangles and the red pepper into little slices

6 – Then place these on the cheese ball as the nose and wattle

7 – And then, store in refrigerator until ready to serve

8 – Lastly, serve on crackers or with veggies. Enjoy!!
