When I lived in San Francisco, after 26 years in New Jersey, I missed so many comforts of home from living in the northeast. When we moved back together to start a family two years later, and settled in Massachusetts, one of the first places I visited was BJ’s Wholesale Club. I had missed my favorite store! Now we live sandwiched between two great locations – one way out in the country and one in a city. I love going to both locations, and being a satisfied member of BJ’s Wholesale Club.
1 – Convenience. They have EVERYTHING I want for my favorite recipes. I love the variety of products and how you walk from aisle to aisle, station to station – having food samples, checking out the bakery, deli, freezer, produce sections, etc. BJ’s biggest advantage is fresh food, and they have everything my family needs for our weekly shopping trip. They’re also the only major wholesale club to offer a full-service deli! I can go on! Members can have fresh meats cut to their specifications at the deli, and butchers will recut and repackage at no additional charge. BJ’s accepts all forms of payment, including EBT, and members can research, shop and install electronics with help from BJ’s Tech AdvisorsTM.
BJ’s has a Pick Up & Pay® program that allows shoppers to stock up by reserving items online and then picking up in-club. BJ’s gas prices are among the lowest around, and members can save time and money by filling up their tanks at BJ’s Gas®. Lastly, BJ’s members approved for a My BJ’s Perks® MasterCard® can earn up to 5 percent cash back every time they shop and earn 10 cents off per gallon at BJ’s Gas®. Check out their website for more info.
2 – Family. I love to do my weekly shopping with my kids. There are so many wonderful kid products, and I love to stock up on food for their school lunches. Being a BJ’s Wholesale Club Member affords our family so many benefits.
3 – Value. Did you know that BJ’s beats supermarket prices on national brands every day – saving families up to 25 percent off grocery store prices every day? And it’s the only major wholesale club to accept all manufacturers’ coupons, offering families another great way to save.
4 – Variety. So much variety! BJ’s has exclusive brands – Berkley Jensen and Wellsley Farms. BJ’s offers excellent value for seasonal needs, and has a great range of party ready items, like the tapas section in the photo above!
5 – One-stop shopping. Whether you’re looking for a grill or patio set, to garden and pool supplies, BJ’s Wholesale Club has it. Are you looking for gifts for the dad or grad in your life? Are you looking for toys or electronics? Find everything you need in one place for your summer cookout! Look at all these ingredients I found for my Tex-Mex Guacamole:

Omg, your guacamole looks amazing and think you know how much I love Mexican food. So, you better believe I will be trying this!! 😉
Oh I love guacamole! I can eat it any time of day too. Your recipe looks so good! I have never been to a BJ’s before, but they look convenient!
They’re awesome! But probably not located near you. Sad! The samples are off the hook.
I LOOOVE guacamole! This looks so good! Boo, why don’t we have a BJ’S HERE 🙁
I know! I feel for you! They have samples everywhere! Samples!?
I love Guacamole and I LOVED BJ’s when we lived in NY. It was one of the things I missed about moving to CO. There was none here so I had to give up my membership. Whenever we go to NY, I always make it my business to go there and get products I can’t get here.
ah yeah! They were in NJ when I was growing up so of course NY would have them.
You know, I just saw a Groupon for 1/2 off BJs membership, and since I have never been I didn’t think it would be for me… but seeing this post, makes me want to reconsider! Also you know avocados are my fav, and I literally was just thinking about the guac I was going to make as a mid afternoon snack 🙂 I think I’m going to Tex Mex it up. Thanks for this!
Also I have been a no-good, very-bad bloggy friend and I have MISSED you very much. Excited to catch up this morning. XOXO
They have those Groupon deals a lot. If you live near one, it’s totally worth it! If not, well, I’m not sure?
Yum!! I love guacamole!! 🙂
I’ve never been to a BJs before, but my husband has filled me in about it. He grew up in Ohio- he always has such fun memories with his mom and him at the store.
If you ever come visit, we’ll go to one!
We don’t have a BJs on the west coast but I take full advantage of this super store when I visit the East Coast, I was just there last week. This Tex-Mex Guacamole looks scrumptious. Love the addition of beans.
Oh that’s awesome! I keep forgetting it’s only east.
I don’t have a BJ’s Wholesale Club near me, but that guacamole looks delicious 🙂
Sad that it is only in the northeast! I suppose you have many great stores, though.
No BJ’s here either, sadly. All of these fresh ingredients are just calling my name!
All the west coasters don’t have it! I remember that you have Costco out there. And maybe Sam’s Club?
We don’t have any BJ’s in Arkansas unfortunately. But my friend in Georgia loves shopping at BJ’s.
Oh that makes me happy it’s there. I think it must only run on the east coast.
