This is not a sponsored post, but it’s from a sponsored Instagram post I did a few weeks ago for Hood Sour Cream. I thought this recipe was so good that I knew I had to share it here. So the photos are not necessarily blog friendly, and there is a lot of product placement there, but you’ll forgive me because these are delicious. Cassidy made them for me so I could photograph them while he cooked. There was also a fun video component! I think he outdid himself because we couldn’t stop enjoying them that night. And you can customize it as you want with toppings!
Taco Tuesday: Taco Stuffed Avocados:
Speaking of which, these Taco Stuffed Avocados are WAY more than we bargained for. Simply brown your meat of choice (beef or turkey), add taco seasoning, and mix with 1/2 cup of Hood Sour Cream and as much shredded cheese as you want. Spoon the mixture into avocado halves, and then add taco toppings of choice, like cheese, olives, lettuce, and more sour cream. Then, with leftover sour cream, you can mix with leftover taco mix, and have a perfect dip for your corn chips. Everyone is happy! And trust me on this creation – you will LOVE it. However you make it.
There are so many reasons I also love eating food out of bowls made out of food. (say that three times fast) It’s because it’s pretty magical! And importantly, eating such festive foods reminds me of parties. Parties make me happy. It reminds me of school dances and weddings. LOVE.
And some people just like to take sour cream and taco mix and make a dip! Well hey, if you’re going to do that, might as well make a seven layer dip of refried beans, guacamole, the dip, cheese, and olives. Yes, olives. My mom’s famous taco dip! Maybe I need another post on that..
