The holidays. Ah. Take a deep breath with me here. In our house, they are the zaniest, most hectic and messy time of year and I really wouldn’t have it any other way. I look around at our sometimes 18-foot tree and think of how many gifts I still have to buy, and all I can do is smile. That’s our way! We signed up for this, or rather, life handed us some twists and turns. Family is everything. We have a big family, a big house, and BIG decor plans, and we love how Sunnydaze Decor is here for all of our favorite holiday decorations. As a professional photographer, I try to capture all of what makes our family so special. And there’s a whole lot of that! The magic!

Sunnydaze Holiday Decor Review: 5 Decorating Tips:
1 – Don’t Forget the Outdoor Areas:
Don’t you just love to decorate your porch for the holidays? This adds instant charm. You can add empty, shiny wrapped boxes, old sleds and milk jars, greenery, and holiday decorations. It’s a really fun way to greet your guests, and it makes them feel welcomed into your home even before they’ve stepped through the front door. If you have a courtyard, or other area with glass walls or skylights, you can use year-round greenery, and that means even in the winter during the holidays! Our Sunnydaze Letters to Santa Indoor/Outdoor Mailbox Decor – 13″ goes right on our porch for most of the season. People who come over find it SO magical, and so do we!

2 – Try Live Plants in Your Decor:
While decorating your home for the holidays, you can choose to use live plant solutions that will give your home a whole different look. If you are a lover of plants and greenery, this is definitely something to try out. This will bring in a lush of green in your home and help you to create a cozy atmosphere. You can also go through various interior landscaping ideas and choose the one that suits you the best. Some places even specialize in creating holiday displays that you can use in your home.

3 – Add Fuzzy Blankets to the Bedrooms and Shared Spaces:
Snuggling up under a soft and fuzzy blanket can really help cozy up any room. Drape them over couches, at the foot of beds, and over any rocking chairs or gliders. Even if you’re not using the blanket, having it in the room will add a cozy atmosphere.

4 – Add Cozy Lighting:
One fun idea you can do is to drape your doors and entryways with twinkly holiday lights. There is nothing cozier than the glow of Christmas lights at night, whether from the tree, or from your entryways. You can add garland and twinkly lights to your doors and entryways throughout the home, to add a cozy touch to every room.
5 – Choose a Warm Color Palette:
While painting the home may be too big of a project for the holidays, you can absolutely update your home with cozy colors. You can add pops of color throughout the rooms, like by adding oranges, reds, and greens, and by placing bowls and blankets and art in these color schemes throughout the home. You can also experiment with warm colored accent pillows, candles, and even furniture. For example, you can add a warm colored bar cart or hot cocoa station in the home, or even swap out the nightstands in the bedrooms and guest areas.
