I’m sharing a recipe with my blogging best friend – Janine Huldie – and I’m so excited to share. You see – we have a lot in common – like having two kids, loving to blog, loving Disney, and loving Christmas treats. These lightbulbs are sure to be a hit for anything festive this season. Scarlet’s eyes light up every time she sees them. And I think yours will too. (mine do)
Do you go home for the holidays? In truth, home is here in western Massachusetts, but over Thanksgiving in New Jersey at the farm, I realized how much I belong there – with my family. I don’t see them nearly enough, therefore I’ll always call it going home for the holidays. And I love to make something awesome the night before Christmas. Cookies.. and these!
Strawberry Christmas Lightbulbs:
What You Need:
White Chocolate Candy Melts
Strawberries (Stems off and dried well)
Green Gumdrops
Blue, Yellow, Red, Orange, & Green Sugar
Toothpicks (optional)
What You Do:
1 – Melt the white chocolate candy melts according to package directions
2 – Dip one strawberry into the chocolate and tap off the excess (I found it was easier to use a toothpick, rather than a fork)
3 – Immediately sprinkle with one color of sugar and make sure to coat all sides evenly
4 – Once coated, lay on a parchment lined cookie sheet and repeat with the other strawberries and let dry completely
5 – Spread a dot of white chocolate on the bottom of the gumdrops, then place each one on top of the strawberries
6 – You may have to hold it for a few seconds to let it harden
7 – Enjoy!

So, have you ever seen such adorable Christmas treats?

I am so, so excited that we are true blog twins today. Seriously the best way I know how to return to blogging after being off the grid last week with being away and the holiday, too!! Thank you for always being my twinsie friend <3 <3 <3
Woooooooooooow!!!! Your food never ceases to amaze and inspire me. I sooooo want to do this. My kids would die. They’d be so happy.
