Last week, Cassidy came home with our puppy – Lucy – and so now we have three dogs and a cat! I’m pretty sure we have reached our limits, but I said that about two dogs and a cat as well. We will only ever have one cat. She is perfect and snuggly and neat and there is no need to rock that boat. She has plenty of us to snuggle with and seems content. As for the dogs, well, three dogs is really something! With all of this time we have spent at home, and plan to spend going forward, it’s the perfect time to get a puppy. We’re all here to train her, and no one is missing those first squishy cute few months. And with this time at home, we’re also into organizing!
The Best Way to Store Dog Food and Keep it Fresh:
Have you heard of Gamma2 Vittles Vault containers? They have been around since 1989 – these first airtight pet food storage containers. Pet parents appreciate them, and I can vouch for this! For one, they keep dog food from going stale and that helps keep my pets happy. For another thing, I really can’t stand dragging around those giant bags of kibble – especially now that I’m pregnant. And lastly, Gamma2 Vittles Vault containers store perfectly in our pet feeding center.
What We Love:
- We’ve had to redo our pets’ feeding routine, and probably will again and again, so it’s nice to have something that’s consistent and helpful.
Keeping our premium food fresh is important, and especially right now. If we keep the kibble fresher for longer, that means less food waste and healthier, happier pets. We have two picky eaters so far (cough cough, husky and half husky) so I realize that not every dog will just chow down everything you give them (cough cough, Astro).
The Vittles Vault Pawprint Outback Food Storage Container that we have is super cute!
Mealtime is easier and more convenient with keeping our Vittles Vault right there in the pet feeding corner – this is a big difference from having a giant, loud, smelly bag of food there.
Plus these containers are stackable – which helps us because we have three dogs and a cat, so that means three types of food. We need dog food the older two split, puppy food for at least another year, and then cat food.
The containers are pet-proof. The bags are NOT! Have you ever cut the top off one of those and not folded it correctly, and then your dogs dipped their head in and started eating? And what about cats?! They can claw their way into a bag of cat food. I’ve seen it happen.
The Gamma2 Vittles Vault containers keep the smell in! This is important to me when I’m pregnant and more smell sensitive than ever.
What You’ll Love:
If you’re buying the good pet food, and we’re buying the good pet food, it makes sense to invest in quality storage for that food. And these are rather fetching too! With just a spin of the lid, these stackable dog food storage containers lock in freshness and flavor, while also being airtight and locking out pests. Also, the stackable containers feature a wide-mouth opening for easy access to food. Gamma2 Vittles Vault containers are made of food grade high-impact plastic, and have a food measuring cup included.
