What We Know About Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge So Far:
There has been a ton of anticipation for the new addition coming to both Disneyland and Disney World Parks, featuring the Star Wars franchise as its focus. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is going to be the newest land in the world of Disney. Disney has slowly been releasing more and more details as we approach the opening day of both lands! Today I’m discussing all of the details of what we know so far when it comes to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Where:
Disneyland Park in Anaheim, CA and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, FL.
When:
One already happened! It was May 31st at Disneyland – reservations required for visitors between 5/31-6/23. And the land will be opening August 29th at Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort.
Attractions:
As far as what you will experience when visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, we know that at both Disneyland and Hollywood Studios, there is a new attraction opening 5/31 (Disneyland) and 8/29 (Hollywood Studios) called Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. On this attraction, you get to fly the Millennium Falcon and complete a mission. Later in the year, there will be another attraction known as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in which you get to join the resistance and fight in a battle against the First Order! In addition to new attractions you will have the opportunity to visit Savi’s Workshop and build your very own lightsaber. Or visit the Droid Depot and build your very own droid bot, just like R2-D2 or BB8!
Dining:
As far as dining goes, you can visit Oga’s Cantina or Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo for all of your galactic dining needs.
Beverage and Small Bites:
You can find various beverages, snacks, and small eats at the Milk Stand, Ronto Roasters, or Kat Saka’s Kettle.
Shop:
You can shop at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities to find rare artifacts or Black Spire Outfitters for all of your clothing needs.
Supplies:
There is a supply shop dedicated to each side, whether you go with the First Order Cargo or Resistance Supply. You will find all the supplies to stock up for your missions!
Treasures/Souvenirs:
At Creature Stall, you will find exotic creatures from the galaxy and you can even get one of your own to take home with you! And at Toydarian Toymaker, you will find a shop filled with tons of handcrafted toys that you can get for souvenirs or to play with and remember your trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The anticipation is killing all of the Star Wars lovers but I think the wait will be well worth it once Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is fully open to the public. These are all the details we know of what’s to come, and unfolding. I hope all this information has prepared you for what’s to come and made you even more excited to visit! And if you have gone/are going, tell me everything!
I am seriously anxiously awaiting the open in Disney World in August now. I know I will at least be back in November there for the holidays. So fingers crossed I can get near it then 🙂
Oh, I bet you will!! Fingers crossed or not.
Super exciting! We are hoping to hit Disney Land in the spring and get a little visit to this newest part of park awesomeness!
