It’s not just about decluttering one part of your life, but it’s about decluttering it ALL! There are so many feel-good ways you can do this. There are so many ways I do this! I pack up or donate clothes I don’t love anymore. I tone my muscles at the dog park or in fitness classes. Heck, I even clean out the fridge! In the beauty department, this is where I get the most enjoyment for purifying my entire life. I wear sundresses and paint my toenails. I add glaze or highlights to my hair. I get my eyebrows done, get a fresh haircut, and change or clean up my beauty routine. My biggest focus now is on pore purifying for spring.

In this season of purifying my life, charcoal is extremely pure. Every morning I get a fresh start to the day, and to the season after a LONG New England winter, by purifying my face and drawing out the dirt from my pores. The Bioré Charcoal line helps me declutter my life, and inspires less stress for a new season. And I can always use less stress for spring. I start with a Bioré Self Heating One Minute Mask. It is so warm on skin! It goes on wet skin, and my eyelashes were wet too, which is why they’re spiky in these photos! Natural Charcoal is known for its ability to draw out and trap deep-down impurities.

The Bioré Self Heating One Minute Mask purifies pores 2.5x better* (*than a basic cleanser) and its unique formula heats on contact, to open pores and remove pore-clogging dirt and oil. It feels so warm and good, especially on cold mornings! Most competitive face masks take ten minutes, but this gives you purified pores in just one minute. Did I mention it’s oil free and removes 2.5 times more pore-clogging dirt and oil than a basic cleanser? I’m having more fun than it looks here:

My next order of business is absolutely perfect to do before bed, to make sure all of the dirt, oil, and makeup I may have accumulated during a busy day is all gone. And that’s with the wonderful Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser.
As with the Bioré Self Heating One Minute Mask, the Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser contains Natural Charcoal – to draw out and trap deep-down impurities. It deep cleans two times better* (than a basic cleanser) and naturally purifies.

The Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser is infused with Japanese Skin Purifying Technology, and it gives you results after just one use! My skin feels tingly-smooth, and it’s gentle enough for everyday use. Tada! I feel great!

As for a spring look, once I have my face cleansed and ready for the day, I’m fairly minimal about makeup. I love my freckles and my naturally flushed cheeks, so I don’t put cosmetics on my actual skin, but I do love mascara and a good lip color or two.
Spring lip color is my weakness. I have a love/hate relationship with most lip products. While I do love my lips, I love them more with the right products. That’s why I’m all about finding the right lip color for ME. How do you do this? In five steps:
1. Find a lip color that is one or two shades deeper than your natural lip color for spring. Apply the lip color to your lower lip and compare the shade to your upper lip. If they’re drastically different, you may need to find another shade.
2. Identify your undertone – either yellow or pink. Yellow is warmer and pink is cooler. I’m pink and it’s helpful. You can also do this by looking at your veins or how jewelry works with your skin tone. Know which shades work with which undertone.
3. Do you want your lips to look smaller or larger? Darker shades will actually make your lips look smaller, while lighter shades can add plumpness! Matte finishes cause lips to look thinner, and glosses or shimmery ones can make them look fuller.
4. When you try on lip colors, do it with little to no other makeup on face to find a shade that brightens your face naturally.
5. Ultimately do what YOU want, whether that’s subtle nudes or fire engine reds. It’s your statement to make! Nudes can look great with just about anything, and can help play up eyes. Red can add drama to a more understated outfit. Pink is versatile and wonderful for an everyday look. Berry colors can weigh down an airy, summer look but can look great with neutrals.

You’re so beautiful Tamara! I love charcoal masks…so good sucking up nasty impurities. I used to be obsessed with Biore strips as a teen. Last year I saw a natural alternative on pinterest – you know i’m a little natural obsessed – so of course I leapt to try it and slathered a gelatin concoction all over my face. OH MY GOODNESS. Do NOT try it. I so so so wish I took pictures then I’d write about it. It certainly removes blackheads, along with fresh skin. I mean my skin was ripped up crazy drastic but it was months before it went back to normal. Now I’m much more cautious with pinterest, even if it’s “all-natural”.
Thank you! You’re beautiful too!!! That totally made my day.
And I’m going to take your advice and stay away from the gelatin concoctions! Ouch!!
You, girl. You in that mask. It’s totally new level of superhero secret identity type of stuff.
And that last pic of you…you are so pretty!
It’s my secret identity! I can’t believe they got it out of me.
Also, a compliment from you is day-making.
I love Biore products, but have yet to try this one, but now just might have to. Oh and love your lipstick tips, too 🙂
Thanks! I’m all about the lips. I can’t help myself!
Thanks for introducing this product, Tamara. I will check it out!
Thanks for reading about it! It’s a good one.
I remember years ago when I actually took time to take care of my skin using a self heated mask by Biore and loving it. I definitely need to get back to using facial masks.
Yes! Well it’s your time to use them again! The masks are soooo good.
OHHH I want to try this! You looks so beautiful and your eyes are gorgeous. 🙂
Putting this on my list, because my skin needs all the help.
XOXO
Aww.. shucks! I felt like I was a little too close to the camera.. like.. the camera doesn’t hide anything. Agh! But you made me feel so awesome!
I’ve tried Biore before, but not these specific products. I’m thinking it might be time for a home spa day with Frances. She would love it!
Ooh yes! I’d love one with Scarlet. Or Cassidy.. haha.. don’t tell him I said that he might like face masks.
Gwen has a charcoal mask, but it’s not Biore. I do like Biore products, so I will have to check this one out. The single use packets would be good for her to take to college.
The single use packets are awesome. They’ll last her and be awesome for college. (but.. SOB)
I actually have a charcoal facial cleanser — which I sadly recently used up — and they’re fantastic! Who would have known. And you look amazing as always 🙂
Thank you!
The charcoal is awesome. I found out about it through Echo, actually, and now I can’t get enough.
I have never tried a charcoal mask, I just might have to try it. My face needs it! You looks so pretty – even in the mask!
ha, thanks! I felt a little silly because I’m not used to close-ups!
I buy the BIORE pore strips. IS IT WEIRD that I am insanely fascinated by what the heck gets PULLED OUT OF MY PORES! I always wish I had a microscope after I do one of those, LMFAO!!!!!!! GROSS – yes, but I do not care. I have done them with my fiance a few times, he friggin finds them insanely fascinating as well, ah ha ah ha! One day I am going to come home and he is going to have them all over his face, I KNOW IT. And he’s just going to say “SPRING CLEANING” AHHHHHHH HA HA HA!
I totally get it! I also am a fan of a foot mask that you can buy and it makes you feet peel for days. I’m so weird!
Also, I used to pour Elmer’s glue on my hands, let it dry, and then peel it off.
Wheeeee!!!!!
Love your natural look…that’s what I go for, too! And that mask is the best! [client]
It is! I can’t get enough. Thank you!
I’m a huge fan of face masks, so I like the sound of a self heating mask. And, I love your shower curtain 🙂
Thank you! I was waiting for someone to notice!
I need this. My face needs help.
Mine did too! You have come to the right place.
First of all, you’re gorgeous! i have used the Biore strips, but didn’t know about these other products. I’ll have to check them out.
Thank you! I felt totally self-conscious about the closeness of this post. And iPhone selfies are cringe-worthy. So thank you!
Hi Tamara, I used o be really good at doing a deep facial clean once or twice a week, but it has been a while. I used to love those self heating mud masks too, the way it warmed the skin slightly fascinated me.
Your tips for choosing a lip colour are good too. I tend to stick to pinks, which suit me. Having small lips I do like a shinier lip colour, but find they never stay on very well. Having what call a naturally pastie complexion I do tend to wear Maybelines Dream Fresh BB cream over my sun cream when I go out. It adds a freshness to my skin I like.
xx
I’m fascinated myself. The warm skin. It feels so nice, especially on a day like today.
I think I stick to pinks and nudes myself. Your Fresh BB cream sounds nice!
OMG, I need that self heating mask! My pores are so big and I have whiteheads 🙁 I am hoping that I can find those here!
PS. Love the freckes! 🙂
Down with big pores! I’m sure they have something comparable if you can’t find these.
Freckles for life!
Pretty! Can I look just like you if I use the Biore 🙂 ? I like the idea of a self heating mask, that is awesome. I need to try it out!
You’re plenty pretty on your own!!!
The mask is awesome.
And these photos are best served for people who think I have brown eyes. I certainly don’t!!
Beautiful woman even green! You are such a natural beauty. Well, whose kidding your whole family is model material. I desperately need some shine added to my locks! And I am just about to cut bangs!!!! AGH!
You made my day!! Come visit now!!
And thanks about my family. I always think so but then I wonder if other people do too or I’m just biased!!
I’ve never had bangs.. OK I did. Doesn’t work on me because my hair is so wavy. I bet you’ll look good!
I actually use a charcoal mask but I get it at LUSH. I may have to pick up this Biore one the next time I’m at Walmart. I think this may actually work and it might be cheaper too. You’re definitely stunning in your photos.
You know I love LUSH, but there aren’t any around here. Boo!
I use this every day and I’m pleased with the results.
Your skin looks AMAZING! In fact, you’ve inspired me to give this a try! We don’t have a local Walmart in NYC (boo!!!) but I’m gonna hop on Amazon, as they seem to carry just about everything!:-)
Thank you so much! I always think the same of you.
I hope you find it! They do have everything.
Wow. A one minute mask that works. I will have to check it out and see the ingredients. Thanks for the tips.
I’d be curious what you think. Thank you!
You have such pretty skin!! I used to love those Biore pore cleaners when I was in High School- my sister and I used them like crazy! I’ll have to look for these products, I love a good mask!
Thank you! My husband uses these products too and he always looks great so I had to see what he was doing.
Aww so pretty even with that mask on! I think I need that or something for the pores. Sometimes, I’m really just scared of trying something new on my face since I usually get break-outs if I use something that my skin doesn’t like. Hmff.
Thank you! It felt a little funny with a mask on my face in my blog, but whatever works! I can get breakouts too, but luckily not from this.
Whenever I see Biore, I always think of those pore strips I used as a teenager. It’s nice to know they’ve got good products for those of us that are beyond those years.
Yes! I used to be obsessed with those pore strips! And now the charcoal line is awesome for me.
Your skin looks incredible! Love the idea of a self heating mask–totally want to find this!
Ah, thank you! I must have had a lot of water that day. It makes a difference! And awesome products.
I swear by the charcoal! It’s amazing. And it really does make your skin feel all bright and renewed. I’ve been using a actual bar soap from Lush — but I have to drive into the city when I want a new one. Now that I know Biore makes a mask, you can bet I will picking that up next trip.
I’m so glad you have Lush in Canada. We had two in San Francisco, and you could smell them a block away. We do have them in MA, but in the eastern part of the state, and one day.. I’m doing it. I’m taking a road trip.
I’ve been away so long I nearly ache about it. But I’m back to reading blogs again. I’ll continue to read, but I had to jump in really fast while I have a minute and tell you, 1.) You’re really pretty even in a mask, and 2.) The Tardis shower curtain is wonderful!
Gawd you’re gorgeous. And WE HAVE THE SAME SHOWER CURTAIN. Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could just close it and open it in each other’s bathrooms?
