The holidays are not limited to Christmas; in fact, they come regularly throughout the year. After Christmas, there is Valentine’s Day, then Easter, then the summer holiday, for example. Each holiday is a time to occupy the kids with creative crafts. Here are some nice ideas to use.

Nature Crafts

Making nature crafts with the kids is an excellent immersive and educational experience. It is also excellent for the health and wellbeing of your family because you get to explore the local environment while you gather nature items for your projects. So what are some useful items?

Depending on the season, you can find nuts and pinecones that can be turned into ornaments and seasonal gifts for friends and family. If you live near a field, you might be able to gather local grasses or reeds that ca n be woven into little baskets. You can also create some necklaces.

Paper Crafts

One of the simplest and most fun crafts you can make with your kids is paper crafts. Folding paper to make ships, hats, and boats, is common practice in most households, and it gives the children a chance to develop their paper crafting skills before moving on to advanced origami.

If you want to try something more challenging with your children, an origami crane is probably the best place to start. Japanese children learn to make these cranes in schools and become skilled at them from a young age. Why not use envelopes to send a crane to the family?

Make Bookmarks

When it comes to the holidays, most people like to open a new book and dive into a fantasy world for a time; that’s why bookmarks are such a great thing to make with the kids when you have some time on your hands. Bookmarks are easy to make and are practical for the family.

All you need to make a bookmark is a standard bookmark for a template, some pens and pencils to decorate the bookmark, and possibly a laminator if you want to create bookmarks that last. You can never have too many bookmarks in your life, so encourage the industry at home.

Paper Plates

Paper plates can be useful for children’s parties, seasonal family gatherings, and picnics, but they are also perfect for creating fun faces on the holidays. Using paper plates, you can create faces with a variety of decorations, including yarn, pipe cleaners, stickers, and plenty of buttons.

Not only can you enjoy creating paper plate faces with your family, but you can also enjoy playing games using the faces. Why not draw lots and try to create the face of a family member or a celebrity? When you’re finished, your family members will have to guess who the person is.

Special Cards

The holidays are an excellent time to create a special card for a friend or a family member with A Maker’s Studio. Making special cards is easy with A Maker’s Studio products; all you need is some recycled cardboard, pencils, crayons, pens, and anything else you think you might need to give the card texture and create some interest.
