I love being a girl mom, and I love being a boy mom. Is there a special name for moms who have both? I have always felt so lucky to have one of each, and that’s partly why having a third baby was far from my mind for many years. For one, my pregnancy with my second, Des, was hard and nauseous. It seems like I had every symptom you could have, after a near textbook perfect pregnancy with my daughter, Scarlet. I admit that scared me off for years. And then when he had to go to the NICU for nearly a week after birth, I decided I was done with two. I was wrong!
Well, then life happens in that funny way it happens. We grew closer as a family. And I’m not saying it’s always been easy. There have been many times I’ve questioned the sanity of marriage and kids! We have a lot of love to give, though. We have both been working for several years now – after I started my own home business when Des was a few months old. It took off! Over time, we added a puppy to our home, and eventually another puppy, and then a glorious cat. Just recently we got our third puppy – to the surprise of many! Well hey – three kids and three dogs – one for each of them! We are strictly a one cat family, though. She is everything we need there.
In January, I was completely unsuspecting. I got pregnant right after the new year but wouldn’t realize it for awhile. The timing was pretty awesome, or so I thought at the time. We had a big trip to Orlando planned for work (and fun) in early February and that went off without a hitch. I’m glad I didn’t know I was pregnant then because I would not have gone on those rides I went on. Even the easy ones! I would have been too afraid. And I’m glad I didn’t yet know about what was about to hit our country, and our world, because I would have been so scared – for myself.
We’re on week four of staying at home. I have only been to one essential prenatal appointment and that’s the last time I went out in public. When I got the opportunity to partner with SneakPeek, I was so excited. I hate surprises! And I already know that having a daughter and having a son are both so joyous. I always thought one would be better than the other – before I knew. Like I thought that buying girls’ clothes would be more fun, but it isn’t! My daughter likes to twin with me, which is pretty amazing, but my son and I have loads in common in well.
SneakPeek Prenatal Gender Test | Boy Or Girl?:
So this was all about fun! We were so excited to get our test kit in the mail. SneakPeek Prenatal Gender Test is the safest, earliest, and most accurate way to determine your baby’s gender, and it’s the only at-home early gender DNA blood test with results that are 99.1% accurate! And, get this, it can be taken only EIGHT weeks into pregnancy which totally blows my mind. With my older two, I didn’t find out until 20 weeks. And with my doctor, I found out (even though I already knew through SneakPeek) at 12 weeks exactly. Also, you can find out if it’s BOY or GIRL as fast as 72 hours in the US only. Plus, it takes only 20 minutes at home from beginning to end.
It was as easy as they said. Since I have a son and husband, I totally sanitized my bathroom before testing. This is because you don’t want male DNA getting into your blood test results – which could make your test kit say you’re having a boy, even if you’re having a girl. Then I did the test – collecting a small amount of my blood. I sealed it, wiped it down, and sent it to the post office. Within 72 hours, since this was over a weekend, they told me they got my results and would email me the next day. My heart was pounding. The next day! And sure enough, I got that email and my results! We totally thought it was a girl, but now we’re shopping for a boy!
