This was a fun Instagram campaign I did that I had to take over to the blog, because rainbows and burgers, y’all! And also, writing about it here gives me a little more fun and leeway to talk about the fact that I would never use red onions in a recipe! If you love them, by all means, but if not, we have purple cabbage and a host of other purple vegetables. Maybe, anyway. I honestly don’t really know if there are a lot, but I know the red onions were for the Instagram post, but for my blog? I need to tell you the truth. Red onions scare me. I sincerely hope they don’t scare you:
Rainbow Burger Deluxe Recipe:

Cheese slices for “orange”
Mustard for “yellow”
Lettuce (or anything green) for “green”

Sliced red onion (or literally anything else) for “purple”
Mayo
Ketchup
Pickles and chips on the side
Burgers of choice (vegan, beef, turkey, etc.)

What You Do:
1 – Gather your burgers and buns of choice – we used ground beef: Divide ground beef into fourths and shape into four patties.
2 – Season as desired (we used Montreal Steak Seasoning by McCormick).
3 – And then, grill on one side until juices begin to run through the burger.
4 – Flip burger and continue to cook until internal temperature measures 165 degrees F.
5 – Working from the bottom to the top, assemble the burger.
6 – Then, place ketchup on the bottom bun, and place mayonnaise on the top bun.
7 – Top the bottom bun with cooked burger patty, red onion, tortilla chips, lettuce, mustard, cheese, and tomato.
8 – Add top bun and serve with pickles and chips.
