Parenting is Messy!

I think messiness is the part of parenting that everyone DOES try to prepare you for – along with loss of sleep, doing everything you said you’d never do, and eating cold, boxed macaroni and cheese for dinner – but it still doesn’t sink in until you have a kid, or kids. Parenting is a lot of things, and for me, it’s been about seeing what bodily fluids I CAN stomach, and which ones have me running for cover. The answer is: it changes. As they change. As you change. Change is a beautiful thing.

Whether you are pregnant, have a baby, are potty training a toddler, or even have older kids, you pretty much need Cottonelle Flushable Cleaning Cloths, always. I mean it. Always! From babyhood to adulthood. They come in handy.

Even though my kids are getting older and moving past the potty training stage, which is both sad and glad, they have three cousins younger than both of them, and I feel like I’m still learning as I watch my brother and sisters with their kids. It’s just a messy time, isn’t it? So I compiled a list of ten things you need to keep in your toddler diaper bag, and maybe/probably even after your kids are not toddlers anymore. It’s a Parenting Bag, and mostly, you can’t travel without one!

  1. Diapers and changing pads. I find that even after potty-training, we still keep these around for quite awhile because you just never know.

  2. Resealable bags. Never.. underestimate needing these. Even with older kids!

  3. Sunscreen.

  4. Spare clothes.

  5. Snacks.

  6. Hand sanitizer.

  7. Bandages and other first-aid items. A first-aid kit?

  8. A favorite toy or lovely.

  9. Spare eating or drinking utensils. We always keep sippy cups in there!

Yup. They’re vital for all ages. We get ours in Sam’s Club. I got my membership not too long ago, and I’ve never had anything but a pleasant experience there. These were at the back of the store for me, so I got to pass some delicious samples.

These are really awesome for having on the road, and also really awesome for having at home. You don’t just wipe with Cottonelle Flushable Cleaning Cloths. You experience a more confident clean, with their SafeFlush Technology™ – which starts to break down immediately after flushing. They are easy to open and reseal and they have a flip lid for easy dispensing, and for lasting freshness. I keep them in my purse, in the kids’ bags, and in my car for travel.

Every year we go to Orlando and Cape Cod, and several times a year we go to New Jersey. This handy packs go everywhere.

What’s a must-have for you in your toddler diaper bag?

As you may know, a Sam’s Club Membership more than pays for itself with exclusive savings on the things you need, the things you love, and all sorts of useful things. I find that each trip we take together, is full of unexpected surprises!
