Scarlet learns “tricks” now in just a few minutes so it’s fun to think of new things to teach her. Now if we say, “Reach for the stars,” she throws her arms up in the air. She also fully says “Mama” now and says it directed at me. She stands up on everything – it started in her crib and now she has grown comfortable enough to stand in her pack and play, stand holding onto my leg, stand holding onto stools and toys, and she even tried to stand holding onto Stormy but I quickly stepped in to discourage that although Stormy seemed mellow about it. She knows how to crawl on her hands and knees but had always preferred to crawl on her stomach. Now she does about 50% crawling on her hands and knees and 50% army crawling on her stomach. And still – no teeth! She had gained about two pounds from months 9 – 10 so she’s now somewhere around 17 – 18 pounds. Not bad for someone who eats like a horse. She’s eating more people food than ever and we’re slowly phasing out purees.
Here are some recent gems of our little dork: (we use that word affectionately)
