Halloween is coming up, and I’ll be making this again!

I love making things for Halloween night, and this will be perfect for grazing before trick-or-treating, but I also like it for holiday entertaining during the whole month of October. Now that we have a kid with an October birthday, it seems like all bets are off for how we can celebrate. It can be Birthday Month, Halloween month, and Charcuterie Month all month long. We can just celebrate, right? Right. I need some Halloween cheer. We still don’t have all of our costumes sorted, but we’re headed to Salem this weekend and I know that will put us right in the mood, and maybe give us some costume or party inspiration. One thing I know for sure is that there will be charcuterie. This is a party staple in our household, and from what I’ve seen, many of you love it too. That’s why I’m sharing with you my recipe for a Halloween Hocus Pocus Charcuterie.

It’s all a bit of a magic trick when you make charcuterie!

What You Do:

You assemble this charcuterie board with all your heart! Rolled meats, Halloween cut-out cheeses, chocolate chips on cut bananas to be “ghosts,” little oranges with stems to look like pumpkins, and whatever you find at the store! We have a secret weapon with Veroni. Veroni has been sharing the best Italian cold cuts since 1925! They have salami, charcuterie, eco-friendly trays (we use for picnics), party trays (we use for big parties), deli meats, snacks (we use for school lunches), and more. The provolone is perfect for the Halloween spooky shapes. Just use cookie cutters around the edges of the cheese, so you have room to do as many shapes as possible per slice of cheese. Then you get the fun of eating the scraps as well.

I think it’s worth noting that I served this to my family, but then I had to run to an appointment so I left it out for anyone not home. I got a text from my daughter that said, “WHEN CAN I EAT THIS?” with a photo of it? It was definitely happy-inducing to see and hear that my kids enjoyed this so much. It’s great for adults too, because Veroni!
