The thing is, I’m really the only one away from home! Out of five kids, I’m currently the only one to have ever left New Jersey and stayed out of state too. While I love our Massachusetts life, and I probably sing it from the rooftops a little too often, that doesn’t mean I don’t feel left out. My parents, four siblings, and adorable nieces and nephews all live in one place while we’re here. This was the one year that none of my family members could go to my kids’ birthday parties here.
I decided to find a way to throw a party for my kids that would include my New Jersey family. So we took a bit of a dream trip down there to celebrate all together again. I wanted to take the stress out of planning a birthday party, so I decided to let Chuck E. Cheese’s do it all for me. Their latest and greatest new party offerings are awesome! I researched a location in New Jersey that would be easy for all of my family members to get to, and I found a day in which everyone could attend.
We had about 10 kids and 10 adults. I booked the “Eat More Play More Birthday Package,” geared towards children eight and up. The package is the same price as the “Super Star Package” and includes three slices of pizza per child as well as drinks. It also includes 10 points/tokens more than “Super Star” (55 points/tokens in most locations, including ours), two hours of reserved table space, a dedicated party host (ours was AMAZING), and the Ticket Blaster experience with a chance to catch the Golden Ticket. Scarlet was feeling a little shy but they let birthday boy Des take my nephew, Andrew, with him.
You can reserve a VIP Party on a Saturday on Sunday and get the whole party area to yourself with the earliest timeslot, before the restaurant opens, for one hour! There’s a new, “Sweet Summer Birthday Promotion” with free cotton candy for parties with 12+ children – booked and held by 9/30. Next, there’s “Unlimited Play.” Chuck E. Cheese’s has almost phased out tokens in favor of Play Pass – the programmable card that enables the restaurant to offer discounts during certain times of the day, including “Unlimited Play.” This is offered with the “Mega Super Star” birthday package and “All You Can Play” on Wednesdays. It’s easy to see why Chuck E. Cheese’s is America’s number one place for birthdays.
With new birthday party offerings, new cakes, ice cream, Dippin’ dots, and Giant Warm Cookies, this is the place my kids want to be. There’s “The Super Goodie Bag” – bigger goodie bags with more toys, as well as new birthday party themes to choose from! They are “Party Like a Rock Star,” “Sports, Sports, Sports,” “Dressed in Pink Party,” and “Chuck E. Super Fan.” You can see why kids love to party here but for adults, it’s a treat as well. I loved the easy online reservation system, the customizable party invitations, our wonderful dedicated host, and how all we had to do was come with our birthday kids!
On a personal note, I loved the service and attention to detail. I loved the lack of stress. And I loved that I could get all of my family together again – having fun, eating lunch, having cake, and going into the Ticket Blaster experience too.
