Before you make fun of me, just know that an organized brain is a calm brain. I start thinking about back-to-school before the school year even ends. I start thinking about the teachers my kids might have, the classes they might love, the new friends they might make, and what they’ll eat.
You already know that we love Welch’s® Fruit ‘n Yogurt™ Snacks. I’m certain I’ve told you many times, and now I’m telling you again. We love them! It’s because they’re made with real fruit, surrounded by creamy yogurt. They’re made with real fruit, delivering the delicious taste that kids love – and that makes them the perfect back-to-school snack. What can you do with them? You can pack them in your kids’ lunch boxes to serve alongside their lunches. You can also have them for an after school snack. And also – you can use them in recipes, which is particularly fun. We do that often!
Trail Mix Recipe for Back to School:
My kids really enjoy snack time and I can’t blame them! To keep snack time interesting, I created a delicious Trail Mix recipe for back to school! One of the key ingredients is Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks. Think about how fun it is to have it in trail mix! Creamy goodness!
What You Need:
Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks
Roasted Pumpkin or Sunflower Seeds
What You Do:
Mix it all together! It’s hard to say how much of everything you need, because I tend to eyeball it. For the Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks, I used about three packets (half a box) and that worked well. I generally like for every spoonful of my trail mix to be filled with one or a few of everything involved in the recipe. This is such a fun snack/recipe because it’s really good for being on-the-go, with school, after school sports and activities, and for eating at school too. In fact, I always make a small bowl it for myself to munch on at my desk while I work throughout my busy days.
As for the Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks themselves, they’re simply delicious. They’re one of the few snacks I buy for the kids that I enjoy maybe just as much. I love that they come in Strawberry, Cherry, and Blueberry, and sometimes I love to open a pack of each and mix them together to put in a bowl. Then I snack on them throughout the day and enjoy three flavors! I’ll be writing more about these great snacks next month, so stay tuned for that! I’m already working on another family-friendly recipe that you’ll love! It will be perfect for the back -to -school season, and all the crazy, hectic days life will throw at us then. I’ll be ready!
Now, what about you? Do you have any fun hacks to share about the school year and great lunchbox and after school snacks? I love to hear what other parents do to keep it fun, interesting, and balanced!
