This post was sponsored by WaterWipes as part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.
I remember bringing home both babies from the hospital with the most interesting discharge messages from the doctor. “Enjoy her,” they wrote. “Don’t forget skin-to-skin contact.” What was funny is that I DID forget, at first. Cassidy did not. After Scarlet was mine for nine months of pregnancy, 14 hours of labor, and intermittent feedings all day and night long, he placed great importance in skin-to-skin contact with her. Although I can’t get back those days, we had our own bonding.
If you are an expecting parent, a new parent, or even an experienced parent who forgets this sometimes, or a lot (raises hand), remember that YOU are all they need. Love is all we need. And you don’t have to let anything else come between you.

We still need baby wipes for Des, who is quite particular about what goes near his skin, but honestly I don’t think the need for baby wipes EVER goes away when you have children. Just the way that the needs for contact, affection, and pure love don’t go away either. Des cares a lot about what goes near or on his skin, and you know what? I care a lot about it too.
Look at these transitions!
It’s enough to make me sob. WaterWipes have been there for the years. They are chemical-free baby wipes that contain only two ingredients – 99.9% pure Irish water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. They are the world’s purest baby wipes since water is nature’s natural cleanser and moisturizer, and grapefruit seed extract helps to maintain good skin condition too.
WaterWipes are durable and effective, without containing any of the harmful chemicals that may be found in other baby wipes. These are a safer, more natural option for your little ones, no matter how new they are to this world. So new!
What do we love about them? Des has been rash free for ages now. He likes the way they feel and I like that they don’t have a strong smell. Some baby wipes are too much for me because I generally don’t like strongly scented products at all.
I love the packaging and I’m proud to give these to my two sisters who recently had babies. I will be sending a package in Des’ suitcase for my parents to use when we go on our honeymoon to Alaska this week and my parents are watching the kids.
Also, I am excited to be part of this Ambassador Program, and I’m certainly proud to have these wipes, and to write about them. The message of skin-to-skin contact, and pure love, is the most important message I know about parenting.
