Niagara Falls is an awesome destination. Until recently, I hadn’t been to Niagara Falls in over ten years! It’s always been a special place for me and I’m so proud to be teaming up with Hyatt Place to share it with you.
Date Night Getaway at Hyatt Place Niagara Falls:
I think you knew that. I have been there four times. The first time was when I was 12 and invited along for my sister’s dance competition. I remember going to Niagara Falls State Park and following a rushing river on foot, until it fell right down the falls. That was my first glimpse of the falls. WOW! I went again with my aunt when I was newly 16, and I got to use my two years of Japanese language with fun tourists, and got to tour the falls. Right after college, I went there with a boyfriend and we could see the mist from miles away and couldn’t get over the splendor.

When we moved cross country from San Francisco to western Massachusetts, Niagara Falls was our last stop. It always holds a special place in my heart, which is why I was elated to finally get back there after all this time away. And it’s as grand as I remember. And it was awesome to see it in a new way, and that’s because we stayed at a new place for us – Hyatt Place Niagara Falls.

I’d love to talk for a moment about the details. I love details! Like color and smell and art and thoughtful service. The amazing views from our room – yes, we could see the mist from the falls. Magic! Every single employee we talked to was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond. I loved the young man at the front desk at checkout who was such a walking encyclopedia of American Falls info, and he told us to come in the winter to photograph the frozen mist. Ummm.. yes! Count me IN! In fact, count me in for visiting for all four seasons.

What We Love About Hyatt Place:
Well, for starters, so much! Did you know that as a member of the World of Hyatt loyalty program you get perks for the whole family? These perks include free breakfast (!!!), early check in and late check out, and spacious guest rooms too. My whole family would LOVE all of this.

It should be said that all Hyatt Place locations (like this one), combine style, innovation, and convenience. (check, check, check!) Yes, I saw all of this! They create a seamless stay with modern comforts. You know, like free Wi-Fi, free breakfast for World of Hyatt members, access to entrees and snacks around the clock, and roomy rooms with plenty of space to work and relax. Plus, there’s a lobby with inviting spaces to slip off to read or gather with a group.
Hyatt Place Perks:
Some other incredible perks are the 24/7 services and multi-tasking hosts! And knowing you can get to-go food at all hours of the day and night is great. We really used that! I love that Hyatt Place creates an environment that allows guests like us to work and play our own way! Need help placing menu items from The Market or planning meetings? Making coffee or anything else you need? They’re there for you! Seriously. With anything at all!

Technology:
Technology is a big part of our lives, so we love that Hyatt Place offers an experience specifically designed for well-connected travelers, such as myself! I love the Cozy Corner, and how I can plug into the swiveling 42″ HDTV with the Hyatt Plug Panel. Plus, checking email with free Wi-Fi.

Necessities:
And lastly, there’s the Necessities program that provides must-have items that guest can buy, borrow, or enjoy for free. This includes nail polish, a universal cell phone charger, toothpaste, and more! And also, there are spacious guest rooms that are big enough for the whole family, including pets! We saw some pretty cute pets while we were staying, and made more than one mental note to come back with the kids and maybe a pet or two! So much fun.

All Day Dining:
If I can just emphasize the food situation, it’s really awesome. There’s a breakfast buffet with protein staples, cereals, specialty breads, coffee, fruit, yogurt, and more. You can dine right in the hotel until fairly late at night, and there is The Market that you can access at the front desk all day and night long. We had a hummus plate, a delicious charcuterie plate, and desserts. Plus, breakfast the next morning! You can build your own breakfast, which is fun.

What We Did:
Well, this is important, right? We had a blast. Perfect date night getaway:
- We rented bicycles right outside our hotel. And we were even able to store them in the hotel, and the bicycle rental agency owner came right to Hyatt Place to retrieve them.
-
We rode to the falls and to all of the islands around American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. And we went through the State Park on paths and even got sprayed with the falls mist!
-
Then we rode our bicycles right to the border of America and Canada, which was super fun!
-
We rode bicycles through the streets of Clifton Hill. The rental company had given us a bike lock so it was easy to park and check out the sights.
-
We rode a giant Ferris Wheel, went go-karting, and did window shopping.
-
Then we came back to our hotel for a delicious dinner (mentioned above) and then went back to the Falls to see them at night.

So, have you been to Niagara Falls? And to a Hyatt Place location?
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hyatt Place.
Wow, this looked like some awesome date night. And seriously blows our dinner and drinks here right out of the water! Seriously, looks like you guys had a great date night and so much fun, too 🙂
haha, your dinner and drinks probably rock! This was one of those once in a while type things that are AMAZING to do.
Wow! So fun. I want to go with Jen’s Guy and order some of the yummy food, ride the bikes, see the Falls…. you know all of it 🙂
I know this sounds nuts but go in the winter! You get great rates and you get to see the falls freeze! No bike riding.. but lots of yummy food!
