New Mom and Baby Checklist
I find that with some brands and products, I don’t really know who I’m buying them for these days. And that’s ok, because with many brands and products, I WILL use them for both little ones. Also having had a baby so long after my first two children means that I’ve learned a lot over the years, AND, that it’s recent. So I’ve been using Boppy, Philips Avent, and Baby Magic products for over a year now, and I’m happy to transition to some newborn nursing, feeding, and baby products all over again. It’s a really fun time, and one that I never imagined would exist, so I always get excited to share my checklist findings with all of you! So pull up a chair and read on.

New Mom and Baby Checklist:
1- Boppy 4 and More Multi-use Cover:
This is a dual-sided versatile cover that works in many ways! It can be a car seat canopy, a nursing cover or nursing scarf, a shopping cart cover, a highchair cover, and a baby carrier cover. I love that it’s designed with soft, lightweight fabric and it’s a breathable mesh with UPF 50+ protection on one side – for privacy. And there’s a cooling mesh fabric on the other side. Plus it comes with a Stash n’ Go Pouch so you can just conveniently store it and use it on the go, or in the diaper bag. Plus these are new product fashions!

2 – Philips Avent:
Good bottles are always important, but I didn’t even use any with Des! With Scarlet, they were crucial for having an occasional date night out with a grandparent sitter, and with Rider, they were crucial in general as he was combination fed from about four months to 12 months or so. This time around, I’m really prepared for what might happen (nursing troubles again) or what I want to happen (flexibility to have other people feed the baby, whether it’s breastmilk or not). Now we have the Philips Avent Natural bottle with Natural Response Nipple.

This is a new bottle and it works with baby’s natural feeding rhythm, making it Philips Avent’s latest innovation in bottle feeding. The baby can drink, swallow, and breathe using their natural rhythms, just like they do on the breast. And unlike standard bottles, it works like the breast in that it only releases milk when the baby is actively drinking. When the baby pauses to swallow and breathe, no milk flows. And this prevents spills and lost milk. It helps make it easy to switch between breast and bottle feeding. The bottle has a soft, flexible, breast-shaped nipple, and your baby will control the pace. I’m so happy to have one less thing to check off my checklist. We nave a natural baby bottle we trust.

3 – Baby Magic®:
This is a true legacy brand! We’re talking over 70 years here. The smell is pure nostalgia for me. We have Baby Magic Calming Bath and Baby Magic Calming Lotion.

Baby Magic Calming Bath: We all know that nighttime routines can be a challenge, so this helps make it a more magical experience. It’s a hydrating and tear-free formula with Lavender and Chamomile, and it helps baby’s skin stay soft. Lavender is known for its aromatic and therapeutic properties to calm the senses and help baby go to sleep. Chamomile is known for neutralizing environmental aggressors while naturally calming the senses. Plus, the aloe helps skin feel hydrated. Find out more here.

Baby Magic Calming Lotion: This is the perfect post-bath companion to the Calming Bath! It also has the same wonderful combination of Lavender, Chamomile, and Aloe. We like to put this lotion on Rider after the bath, and when we have new baby bath time, we will do the same. Find out more here.

OMG Rider is a doll! Love this checklist and passing this article along to my pregnant frends!
