How soon into the school year it takes for the kids to come home sick, that is. We usually have such a long streak from spring until fall, and I forget every year that this happens. Until it does. And luckily, I’m learning how to be prepared for it. The thing is, it will happen. Kids go to school and other public places after long summers without being cooped up in classrooms.
This is the year I feel more ready. I’m all stocked up on Mucinex® Junior Cold and Flu caplets and Mucinex® Junior Cough & Congestion caplets.

The kids started school two weeks ago, and I can’t believe it! I feel like last year went incredibly fast and once I really got into the swing of things, it was already spring and we were looking ahead to summer. This year, I feel more prepared and more ready to savor these last several months of having two kids in the same school. I’m feeling like I want to make this the best year ever!

Let’s talk about Mucinex® Junior Cough and Cold and Mucinex® Junior Cold and Flu Caplets!
As you know, I’m a busy mama. I have been taking the time this year to rest more because I didn’t do that last year. Hey, maybe that’s why it seemed to fly by so cruelly. That’s why I love Mucinex® Junior Cough and Cold and Mucinex® Junior Cold and Flu Caplets. They are a simple solution that is suitable for both of my kids. And they are pre-measured, which is more convenient for me. I can carry the medicine on the go with no mess. With it being pre- measured, it’s easy to give the right dose.
I especially love that both Mucinex® Junior Cold and Flu Caplets and Mucinex®Junior Cough and Congestion Caplets are designed in junior size, so they’re suitable for kids. They are super convenient for these reasons. I think the thing that makes it so hard when the kids are sick, is the overnight cough and the general exhaustion that follows that. I’ve been searching for relief for the kids now that they’re older and can take caplets. I was not great at swallowing pills as a kid (or adult), so it’s important to me that my kids are taking medicine that was made for them when they’re sick. So I was nervous to try but happy to find them relief. This time of year is hard on me, and not just because of them being sick. I get sick too!
It hits us all. There was a brief period in my 20s in which I never got sick at all. Maybe once every two or three years. That all changed after I had kids, and I got subjected to daycare, preschool, and elementary school germs. Not to mention birthday parties, play dates, and anywhere in public! Not to mention that Cassidy’s office passes around viruses like it’s candy. He’s already been hit, and luckily I had a solution!
Mucinex® Junior Cough and Congestion Caplets are suitable for:
• Relieving Chest Congestion
• Breaking up Mucus
• Cough Control
• Nasal decongestant
While Mucinex® Junior Cold and Flu Caplets are suitable for relieving nasal congestion, body pain, and chest congestion, while reducing fever.
Now I’m a hero, I tell ya! The thing is, life is so busy lately. And it’s not a laughing matter when cold and flu season coincides with all of the holiday seasons. I think we can all recall being sick during at least one holiday – from Halloween to Valentine’s Day.
And with work and parenting and fun, we need to tackle those cold and flu and cough and congestions symptoms with the products made for our kids.

Totally have Mucinex for Kids in in my medicine cabinet and all ready to go now for cold and flu season, as much as I wish we could just skip this season all together better to be prepared than sorry. Thanks for the awesome tips, too 🙂
My kids were the kind who seemed to get every cold that blew through the school. I had a well stocked medicine cabinet. We did (and do) love Mucinex. Sometimes just being able to keep the mucous at bay keeps the cold from turning into a sinus infection!
Great list! Now is the time to prepare for flu season! We always have Mucinex in our cabinet.
