No matter how you celebrate it – as a mama, as a niece, as an aunt, as a grandmother, as a daughter, as a granddaughter, or as a friend – surely there are important mothers in your life.
Mother’s Day is sort of my jam and I loved it long before I became a mom, but I’ll never forget the first one. Cassidy gave me a surprise box! He decorated the outside of a beautiful box and filled the inside with ultrasound and maternity pictures. I was already about eight months along at that point and had accumulated quite a bit of baby “souvenirs.” I loved his meaningful way of presenting them to me, and he also gave me a gorgeous card. It got even better from there.
I love being a mom and I feel like I was always meant to be one. I also love being a daughter. And I’ve always loved having mom figures in my life – like other relatives, older siblings, friends, bosses, mentors, etc. Mother’s Day is a wonderful chance to show someone in your life – whether it’s your mom or a mom figure in your life – just how much you care. It SO matters.

5 Meaningful Ways to Get Inspired for Mother’s Day:
1 – Take a long walk together. Not only is it healthy for you, but it’s a wonderful way to catch up no matter how far away you live from each other. And it’s the perfect time of year for it!
2 – Have a movie day together watching Mother’s Day inspired movies. Some movies are directly about Mother’s Day and others feature strong mother/daughter female bonding themes.
3 – Make a photo album or scrapbook together. This is a wonderful opportunity to bond with the mother or daughter figure in your life – while looking at photos and sharing stories behind them.
4 – Have a spa day together. In the weeks leading up to Mother’s Day, grab your mom and/or other female members and spend a luxurious day at the spa – relaxing and talking and just feeling great.
5 – Bring your mom breakfast in bed, and if you are a mom, don’t be afraid to ask for that! I remember the fun of bringing my mom breakfast in bed. And who wouldn’t want a slice of pie with it?
And so, those are some of the best ways to get inspired for Mother’s Day – both in the weeks leading up to the day, and the day itself! We love the Sara Lee Perfect Pairings in Frozen Wild Berry with Lemon Crust! These are a can’t-miss for May!
