And I’m talking about an app you will want to check every day — maybe even more than once. It’s so intuitive, easy to use and practical too. Check out Lysol® Germ-Cast™. It’s here at a time when our appetite for current and ACCURATE information on community illness levels is at an all-time high. This app lets you check COVID-19 and flu incidence levels in all areas, too, so you can check on your mom’s zip code — like I do!
Lysol® Germ-Cast™ is a free app and web plug-in that provides daily, county-level flu and COVID-19 incidence levels. There are two tabs – one for COVID-19 and one for the flu – and it’s so easy to toggle back and forth. The app also gives a three-week flu forecast, illness-prevention information and useful Lysol® product tips.
5 Ways To Manage Your House During The Pandemic:
1 – Be In The Know.
This is where Lysol® Germ-Cast™ comes into play. After simply downloading the app from the Apple Store or Google Play, you’ll have knowledge right at your fingertips. This app aims to help people protect themselves and their loved ones from the spread of illness, by giving them the tools to stay informed and vigilant. This app easily fits into everyday life as a resource for my household. It helps us plan out-of-town trips, holidays, decisions on schooling and so much more.
2 – Focus On All Aspects of Health.
Physical health is super important right now, and so is mental health and emotional health. Stress is the last thing we all need right now, because our immune systems need to be in top shape. I’ve been making self-care a priority, with more baths, reading, conversations and relaxing activities too. Sometimes self-care means turning off the news, and sometimes it means calling my mom. There are times I need to be alone and other moments when I want to cuddle up with my family. Needs change, so stay attuned to yours. Maintain exercise and sleep routines as best as you can.
3 – Manage Work-Life Balance
This one is hard! In our house, we have two parents working from home, two kids doing remote schooling, a newborn baby, a rowdy puppy and a home expansion. Yeah, maybe we didn’t plan that so well — or did we?? Make sure to have the conversations about work and home life, and everyone’s individual wants and needs on a daily basis. Schedules can and should be adjusted, with the knowledge that things can change, and change again. Roles and responsibilities can shift, so it’s important to be mindful of one another.
4 – Maintain Relationships.
And I’m not just talking about the ones in your home. Physical distancing can take a big toll. Make sure to check in with loved ones on the phone, at a physical distance outside, on the computer, by handwritten letter — or whatever it takes. It’s so important.
5 – Keep On Keeping On.
Although we didn’t plan this, our kids have had this pandemic during a time of distractions. A new puppy, a new baby sibling, AND a house expansion? Well, wow. This would be time spent at home anyway, or time they’d want to spend at home. That said, we still maintain fun family routines and events, like movie nights and board-game nights. We still dream and hope for the future, and talk about things we want to do with our lives. Life will go on; life IS going on, and it’s important to know that, while also being careful and aware of the illness incidences by us and near our loved ones, too.

Looks like a great app resource to have and use right about now. Off to check it out on my iPhone now 🙂
I look at it daily! It’s amazing.
And there’s another app I need to have on my phone! Definitely need to get cleaning before Christmas day, eek!
It’s something I look at daily although it’s severe in my area right now. It’s falling in other places, though!
