I think it’s high time we start talking about a Game Day party!

Every year, we seem to host a Big Game party here. In previous years we’d go to my friend Tara’s house, and now we get giddily excited when she brings her two boys to our house. They are close friends with my two kids. And the one thing about Tara is that she is a major foodie – born and trained. So cooking and baking with her are both real treats! When we plan our party menu, we think about all the little touches that will make it special for all seven of us. And I think I have you covered!

There are a few reasons this recipe is so awesome, and bacon is actually not the first reason! It’s more like the third reason. The first reason is Avocados From Mexico. I remember the first time I tried them – while on a trip. They are always worth it because they’re healthy, delicious, and always in season. I love that avocados are so versatile. They’re great for all three main meals, and then they’re the perfect Big Game recipe because what football party is complete without guacamole?

The second reason this recipe is so awesome is because of the TABASCO® Sauce. It’s made with simple ingredients and is delicious. I love that it can be used as a condiment or ingredient and that it adds a little spice and excitement to any and every meal! Not to mention that it adds more flavor to my favorite foods, like Loaded Guacamole! TABASCO® Sauce accents and deepens flavors as an ingredient. TABASCO® Pepper Sauce is made from 3 simple ingredients: red peppers, salt, and vinegar.

I put together a list of five fun Game Day party tips!

1 – Create your food spread with taste, variety, a little fanciness, and versatility in mind.

2 – Step it up with your decorations! One thing we did once was put all of our chairs together on two sides to look like bleacher. And they were facing each other! We also gave our kids whistles and flags. Aren’t we insane? Well it was fun!

3 – Get your sight and sound ready. Sometimes upgrades are in order because you can’t watch the big game on a tiny screen! My husband will often have the game playing on two different screens in the house. That can be rather fun.

4 – Football lanterns! They’re easy to find (we had ours shipped) and are a big party pleaser!

5 – Have a super awesome beverage to accompany a super awesome recipe! We love RITAS! They’re fruity, fizzy fun. Our flavor of choice for Game Day is Lime-A-Rita. savor winning flavors. What an awesome food and drink party spread for us!
