Sometimes I have tunnel vision and it’s nothing to brag about. When there’s something big on the horizon, it’s hard to focus too hard on smaller things before or after that big thing. Say for example, it’s senior prom. Say you have a major physics project due the Monday after prom weekend, but you can’t even think about it until after the prom is over and you’re back home and your sister’s boyfriend makes your project for you, and it doesn’t even work, but it’s so special and homemade that your teacher gives you an “A” on it and you don’t even have to take your physics final. You get to sit out in the hallway with a book and look at all of the smarter (at physics) kids and watch them take the final exam you’ll never take. Last minute me!

Boxtume Tetris Shapes:

What You Need:

Amazon smile boxes – 1 Big Box, 2 Medium Boxes
Duct tape
Scissors
Spray paint in color of choice

What You Do:

1 – First, tape one side closed on both medium boxes.

2 – Then, on the large box, tape one side closed.

3 – Cut out a hole large enough for a head to fit in it, from that taped side of the large box.

4 – On the open sides of all three boxes, tape the corners together so they make solid sides.

5 – Line up the three boxes and tape them together so that the medium boxes are on either side of the large box.

6 – All the openings should be at the bottom except the head opening.

7 – Tape the boxes together at the bottom opening.

8 – Then, spray paint the whole thing with the solid color of your choice (per Tetris shape).

9 – Create a block shape by using duct tape on all edges.

10 – Lastly, put one piece of duct tape across the center of the large box, to make it look like two boxes.

And then, pay special attention to the adorability and ease of this costume making. As for as last minute Halloween costumes go, I think this one is a real winner. And better yet, you can make a ton of pieces that fit together! We plan to do four shapes.
