So, where did we last leave off? I beat my roller coaster phobia! Twice! Well, I suppose it remains to be seen whether it’s really gone for good, but when I think about the Mine Train, I only think fond thoughts. I don’t think about my stomach leaving my body, or the near-dizziness of being whipped around. Instead, I think about Scarlet next to me, Cassidy and Des with their arms up in front of us, a happy scream settling itself in my throat, and the sunset we saw coming out of the mine.
(This is NOT The Barnstormer, but it’s pretty cute.)
Where we last left off, we had gotten to Disney World early to see a quick morning show on the stage instead of at the train like we’ve seen before. Then the gates were lifted, and it was Main Street Mayhem! We had not used a FastPass for Elena of Avalor/Cinderella, because we wanted to try to race to them first thing in the morning and use the FastPasses on rides. It worked! We got right in line and it seemed like a 10-15 minute line only. It was still chilly and a bit humid. I have to be honest – I really do fangirl when I see these characters. And I can’t stop grinning! I know that we do this (mostly) for my kids..

I think she smiled so hard her face almost fell off. I might be talking about myself too! They are amazing princesses, and I love the way they tell stories, references their own histories, and make everyone – kids and adults – feel special and noticed.

Then we did the Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid ride, as we do every year. And you can’t go there without meeting Ariel, right? Well, Des wasn’t so sure, but Scarlet certainly was!

Her face just kills me here, there, and everywhere. She even got that look on her face for the non-human, non-princess superstars. Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck were pretty awesome too! This was the first year she filled up her autograph book.

I’m SO GLAD I got in these photos. I should tell you that there’s a mix here of photos from my camera, my phone, Cassidy’s phone, and a few (the rollercoaster and some upcoming Belle ones) that were taken by Disney photographers. I should also tell you that since these photos were taken, I have learned to pair a LulaRoe Carly dress with a belt. What does that mean?

After a lot of princesses, one roller coaster, and lunch in Fantasyland, we waited for the next performance of “Enchanted Tales With Belle.” That’s definitely a “must see” in Walt Disney World. This was our second year in a row. My three family members participated both times, while I sat out to take pictures or video. The special effects are amazing, and the kids get souvenirs too! Maybe next year I’ll be in the play, but it’s so much fun to see all the kids perform for Belle.

Love this roller coaster pic Tamara, everyone is giggling and you are holding on for dear life. I need that sprinkle phone case. I love your disneyland pics, the Scarlet, Cassidy and Des look sooooo happy.
haha, but I was giggling AS I was holding on for dear life. So there’s that!
OK, the Disney lover in me just was so happy to see an update of sorts here. I literally just spent an hour on the phone this morning making plans for a possible second Disney trip in November of this year. So, this couldn’t have come at a better time for me to see all your wonderful pics 🙂
Ooh! We’re doing ours in January again. I can’t wait!!!!
I am so jealous! I mean, yes, Shelby and I got to meet some Disney princesses, but not AT Disney! If I show Shelby these pictures, she would definitely be green with envy!
We’re planning our next trip – it’s not too late to come with us and make our dreams come true!
Wow! So divine! So many princesses! I think Belle is my favourite princess (she’s so smart… and she loves books)!
What wonderful pictures… such an awesome trip!
Thanks for sharing!
xoxo
I love her. I saw a great Belle last night when we were trick-or-treating and the kids were transfixed!
So many cute photos! I was much more Des than Scarlet when it came to meting costumed characters, which is pretty funny since I grew up to become an actor 🙂
I feel like I’m more like that too! Very cool what you grew up to be, though!
Yep, i smiled my face off too! Princesses just make me happy! I want to meet Elena now 🙂
She told so many good stories! In fact, we’re already planning to see her again!
So many cute characters! Love it. What souvenir did they give at Enchanted Tales With Belle? We didn’t do that this time around but we did last time!
I’m trying to remember both times. I believe we got a photo the first time and maybe a bookmark the second time?
My girls LOVED that part!!
It was so magical! Now we are excited to go back.
My girls both loved the characters. It felt so sweet to me to see them go up and hug them all. I’m not sure why it is so special, but it really is. The beautiful blurry line between fantasy and reality.. I think at some level I wish I could go back to that!
There’s something about it – it makes my face hurt from smiling. I think on some level we all DO go back to it! Maybe it comes and goes, though. This is a coming period.
Love the photos! I think that you could totally pull of playing Snow White and it must be the magic of Disney that makes you want to smile at everything. I turn into a total fangirl too.
Thank you! Snow White is one of my favorites, in terms of looks to try for myself.
You make such a great Snow White! Your photos are beautiful and make me want to go back to Disney World – it’s been so long!
We are already planning our next trip there and I can’t wait!
Your photos make me want to go back to Disney! I already miss it. I hope we can plan another vacation at some point.
We are planning our next one. I really wish we all went at the same time of year! Janine is going soon.
I just love all the princesses and characters at Disney. So special!
P.S. You would totally rock Snow White!
Thank you! She’s not my favorite princess, but my favorite one to emulate, for sure.
Looks like you had so much fun. I love your Snow White costume
Ahhh! That’s so awesome! My favorite part of Disney is the princesses!
Yes! My daughter and I are ALL about Disney princesses. She’s much older than those girls, but you’re NEVER too old to hang out with Disney royalty!
My wife is a fully grown woman, and my daughter is coming into the tween years, but they would still squeal over meeting those princesses.
Woah, this would be amazing to see all of the Princess’s! We went to Disneyland and saw a few of them but we never got a special meet and greet.
I am so happy for you that you beat your roller coaster fear! What a wonderful experience for your daughter getting to meet all those Disney princesses! You I must say are the prettiest princess of them all!! I also LOVE that black and white photo! I think it is the best of all of them. Your husband is a cutie too by the way 🙂
You all look like you had a wonderful time at Disney World. It really does look like Princess Heaven. I never did like coasters myself but lucky my kids always has there dad to ride with them. Thanks for sharing your amazing experience.
What a wonderful experience for your family. We went to Disney World few years ago and it was so much fun!
The princesses would be my younger daughter’s favourite part of Disney World. She is a princess herself, and had a ball reading this part of your journey with me. she would go over the moon is she got to meet Ariel.
Beautiful princesses. My twin granddaughters love all the Disney princesses; they would be thrilled!
Its absolutely had so much fun! Great time bonding for you guys! I would love to visit there too.
My daughter enjoyed meeting all of the princesses when we went there about 5 years ago. We wouldn’t let anything stand in the way of her meeting them and we were happy she did.
This looks like so much fun! My kids would have a blast meeting all of their favorite princesses.
Looks like you all had a great time! I’ve never been to Disney but would love to one day!
Oh good for you! I love roller coasters but my husband doesn’t like anything that goes upside down. He can handle the rest.
Oh my goodness, how sweet. Disney really is magical at any age, but a little girls faces says it all!
I always like seeing other little ones meet the princesses. 🙂 We are passholders so are spoiled but my son isn’t really into the characters as much as he used to be!
I still haven’t been to Disney World. Hopefully I’m not too old for it now.
I was thinking of you when I was in Universal (yep, I went without the kids)…I wondered if you would have braved the Kong ride. It was awesome and not very roller coastery.
When I was a kid they had a Kong ride but I don’t think it’s the same one we’re talking about? You’d go up in a little car and be inches from his face! SCARY.
