We got our latest cat, Juniper, a year and a half ago at our local animal shelter. It’s a large animal shelter, and really well-run, so I’d be lying if I said I didn’t check their website every now and then to see what’s there. I’ve also gone to the shelter on my lunch break during the spring and summer to play with the kittens and hold the older cats. I was never a cat person, until I was a cat person. It was a matter of meeting the right two cats, to be honest. Penny and Juniper got into my heart.
That’s why I love the Litter for Good™ program Program. For every green jug of Cat’s Pride® Fresh & Light® Ultimate Care® sold, Cat’s Pride will donate a POUND of litter to shelters across the country. Isn’t that spectacular? Over time we have realized we don’t have room for another cat right now. Not with the renovations, the pets we have, the kids’ schedules, and travel. That said, it’s nice to know we can still help shelter cats even if we aren’t adopting right now.

I always get sentimental when I think about how the shelter rescued Junie – at only a day old – and nursed her to good health. When we adopted her, we saw an adoption counselor and they made sure we were a good fit for one another.

I love, love, love the thought of giving back – to that shelter and to all shelters. You can learn more about the Litter For Good program here. There you can sign up for the free Cat’s Pride® Club to nominate a shelter to receive litter donation. You can also get valuable coupons and incentives throughout the year, as well as updates on the program donations and shelter highlights. You know you need cat litter in your house, so let it be this one! It works well and DOES well too.

Helping your favorite animal shelter is only a click away! Cat’s Pride hopes to donate 20 million pounds of litter to shelters across America by 2020. You can help by signing up and nominating your favorite shelter TODAY!
I can save millions of cats by using a certain Litter? That sounds like a no brainer. I’ll never forget the first time I stepped into an animal shelter. I was going through break up and animals made me feel so much better especially the kitty camp. Jupiter is sooooo cute. I’m going to share this post with my cat loving friends.
I love this so much. Seriously what a great way to give back and help other cats/kittens in shelters. I am with Mary on this as this really is a no brainer!! 😉
That is so awesome that they give back! More companies need to do this! Going to share with my cat-owner friends.
Yes, I have two cats from the shelter! I’ll have to try this litter!
Three rescue pets here so I’m all for it! I hope they do it again.
What a great way to give back! #SaveTheKitties
oh my, your kitties are stunning!!! we, too, adopted from a local shelter this time last year, and they have brought so much joy into our home!
Totally passing this on to my mom so she can buy this litter!
Our very first cat we’ve ever had was from a shelter and we love cats. I purchased Cats Pride all because of this initiative.
I wonder if chewy carries this one???
I will have to check we order 4 buckets of tidy cats lite a month for our 6 rescues so that would be a lot for the shelter!
I had a sweet cat reight after my divorce came from a shelter, she picked me…reaching for me through the cage. Her name was Samantha I loved that cat and oh how she loved my son.
