How to Accessorize Your Wedding

Your wedding day is about you and your partner and marks the start of a huge new chapter for you both. Here's how to accessorize your wedding

Your wedding day is about you and your partner and marks the start of a huge new chapter for you both. We have all been to those weddings that lack personality or anything unique about them- although all weddings are nice, there is nothing memorable. Make sure your big day does not follow a similar path, by adding accessories that symbolize you and make your wedding stand out from the rest.

Staying you

Your wedding day is a day that you will remember for the rest of your life, so make sure your outfit reflects your personality and is something you feel confident in rather than giving in to what other people may say you need, or what they prefer on you. Adding personal touches can make the day more memorable and romantic for your guests, and will provide an excellent opportunity for guests to make conversation with each other. This could be something as small as a photo wall of key memories of the happy couple, or meaningful quotes on each table that symbolizes something unique to your relationship.

Mix your metals

Keeping your rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings all the same metal could create an overly uniform appearance, so feel free to mix and match items you love. Diamond earrings can add a sophisticated touch, that is both classy and timeless. Before the big day, go to a jewellery store or order a variety of pieces to try on, and see what looks best and fits your theme and style.

Hair

Whether you’re wearing a veil or not, adding a headband or fascinator into your hair can help bring attention to the style you’ve gone for, and extend the elegant look from head to toe. It is important to think about what style of hair you would like to go for, as these will be pictures that you and your guests may look at for years to come. Take into account the style of dress and theme of the wedding, and plan your hair accordingly to what would be the most flattering – but also something that you feel confident wearing.

Small bag

A small clutch that can hold essentials, such as a lipstick, hairbrush or even a pair of flip-flops if your heels become uncomfy is essential to bring with you on your big day. Make sure that you give your bag to a trustworthy guest during the ceremony, as it can make it easier for you to keep track of your things during the day. Not only is this the perfect excuse to purchase a new bag, but also to show some personality and uniqueness throughout your big day. An added bonus is this could be something you reuse, again and again, always bringing back memories of your special day.
