I went on a Starbucks run with Lucy last week (they gave her a Pup Cup!), and had to get a Peppermint Mocha. As good as it was, it’s hard for me to get out these days – at least as often as I used to get out. So I wanted to research how to make a yummy Homemade Peppermint Mocha. There’s a good chance we’ll be doing Christmas at home for the first (and hopefully last) time and I want to make it super special for everyone. I’m talking Santa Magic, music, decorations, cookies, and drinks – for the kids and for us too. Cassidy recently bought Peppermint Mocha coffee grounds and I realized he loves them too. So this recipe is perfect for us. I can’t wait to have it again, sitting around the Christmas tree, sipping delicious hot drinks.
Homemade Peppermint Mocha:
What You Need:
2 Tbsp chocolate sauce, sugar free if desired
1 Tbsp Torani Peppermint Syrup, sugar free if desired
1 cup (8 ounces) milk, hot
2 shots espresso or ½ cup strong coffee
What You Do:
1 – First, whip milk and chocolate together until slightly thickened.
2 – Then, stir peppermint syrup into coffee.
3 – Combine the coffee with milk.
4 – Top with whipped topping, chocolate syrup, and crushed peppermints if desired.
And that’s that! How good does it look? I’d love to hear about how you’re making the holiday season special for your family this year. Are you traveling? Hosting? Staying home? Since we’re most likely staying home, or if we do travel it will be with only half the normal amount of family members, we’re making the entire season more meaningful and special. I know that next year will look different, but there are so many wonderful things to enjoy right now. Stay safe, friends!
