LOVE it. Really. Four hours later, you get cheesy, creamy, goodnessy potatoes. It’s really so simple! It helps you celebrate the holiday season even better because you spend a lot less time cooking complicated recipes, and more time just being together. Maybe watching a movie or reading a book. And then perking up when the smell of the cheesy potatoes starts to fill the house. That will be a game changer for sure. This is one of my favorite recipes of all time. And with good reason!
Sometimes it doesn’t feel like the holidays.. until it does. It could be the right song at the right time. A smell of peppermint or wood smoke. Taking your kids to see Santa. The lighting of the Menorah. It hits when it hits and it all somehow fits. Sometimes for me, it’s that moment I set foot in my parent’s farm and you can smell something amazing cooking for dinner. That’s all it takes. Holiday spirit to the max. Let it take you somewhere.

Side note (and because I just finished reading through some of your other posts)–I love that you get Athena her own stocking for the holidays 🙂 Every dog deserves their own gifts, too! And it’s fun to see them try to find out what’s inside. We hung a stocking for Buster this year, too. Every day with him is a treat but we want him to know how loved he is <3
We just love potatoes and can never have enough of them. I’ve never tried doing it this way before, but will have to try your recipe.
