Halloween Dinner Ideas: Jack-o-Lantern Cheeseburgers
Looking for good Halloween Dinner Ideas? These Jack-O-Lantern Cheeseburgers are perfect for your little trick-or-treaters on Halloween night!
Hey there all you Halloween enthusiasts! Looking for Halloween Dinner Ideas? Well, I’ve got just the dish to light up your spooky festivities. In the spirit of this blood-curdling holiday, let’s break away from your usual pumpkin pie and candied apples. Instead, let’s fire up the grill (or frying pan) for some boo-tifully creative nibbles, the Jack-o-Lantern Cheeseburger! When I was kid, we would have “Halloweenies” for dinner before trick-or-treating. It was cheese-filled hot dogs. As a teen and young adult, it was usually pizza. Sometimes I make kale salad to coat my stomach before candy, and sometimes I pre-game by eating candy for dinner, and then candy for dessert. This year? I think we can go easy and fun:

Halloween Dinner Ideas: Jack-o-Lantern Cheeseburger:
What You Need:
Hamburger Patties
Hamburger Rolls
Orange Cheese Slices
Sides
1 – Prepare your hamburger patties how you like ‘em.
2 – Cut a jack-o-lantern face into the cheese slices (best to have the more artistically inclined caregiver do this part).
3 – Place the cheese on the patty and melt on low heat.
4 – Serve and enjoy, with pickles, ketchup, mustard, kit-kats. I don’t judge.

You know, Halloween is all about trick-or-treating for us. In fact, the National Confectioners Association reports that 77% of Americans plan to hand out candy for Halloween! However, it’s as much about spinning a tasty tale on a dinner table as it is on the streets. And what better way to engage both kids and adults alike than with an out-of-the-box Halloween dinner idea: Jack-o-Lantern Cheeseburgers. After all, who can resist those beefy patties and stretching cheese, with the latter artistically carved to mirror our Halloween hero – the jack-o-lantern? What do you serve for Halloween dinner? And is it before or after trick-or-treating?
