Ah, summer. My favorite season! And it’s ALWAYS the season I most have to detox from.

For other people, it’s winter! And I get that – it can be hard to stay fit, glowing and healthy in the winter. For me, that’s the time we go on vacation and go for walks on the beach and 13 hour power walks through theme parks. That’s when I eat soup and head to the dog park in my ice cleats, puffy coat, and gloves. Summer is when I eat ice cream a LOT, and skip exercise because it’s hot and humid out. Excuses, excuses, but I felt it was time to take Gerolsteiner’s Sparkling Detox Challenge.

Why? It’s because Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water is the world’s No. 1 Sparkling Natural Mineral Water! It tastes great AND it’s good for you, and that makes it mighty special. Just to touch upon it, Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water contains 84 mg of calcium per 8 fl. ounces. It also contains essential magnesium, needed for cellular activity, and supplies your body with 2,500 essential minerals in total. Why do minerals matter? It’s because you can think of them as essential spark plugs for your body – prompting your cells to work efficiently. Water is essential for life, as we know, but sparkling mineral water contains magnesium, calcium, and bicarbonate – needed for all physical activity. I love it for looking and feeling my glowy best!

Not all waters are equal, and many bottled waters are just purified tap water, some are from multiple springs, and some are full of artificial additives. Mineral water drawn from deep within the earth’s core is the only one to offer all-natural, nutrient-infused refreshment. And, Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water comes from the Volcanic Eifel region in Germany where a unique combination of volcanic activity and layers of mineral-rich dolomite rock enables nature to create a mineralized and carbonated water of the purest quality. It’s naturally high in minerals and offers hydration without any calories, sugars, caffeine, preservatives, or artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors often found in sodas, energy drinks, and sports drinks. It’s the world’s most popular sparkling mineral water because of its purity and its refreshing taste!

  1. I would love to try this, but the no coffee and alcohol for five days might be an issue around these parts. I mean I can go a day or two possibly without coffee, but 5 days is stretching it. Still great challenge and might have to see if I can challenge myself now 🙂

  2. Great minds think alike! Woke up yesterday saying that I’m going to blog next about detoxing. I had already been thinking about offering a five-day detox in September. I’ve seen this brand of water but have never tried it. Thanks for the heads-up!

  3. I like your list very much! Actually, I pretty much live that way all the time, lol, except for the mineral water. Please don’t tell the company 🙂 I don’t drink alcohol or coffee. I mostly drink water from my well in the yard. I wonder what the mineral content of that is? .

    1. It says on the label but I drank through them all! I’m like you – no alcohol or coffee at all.. unless a little decaf counts?

  4. I’ve never seen these in the stores. I’ll have to keep an eye out for them and try one. It’s great that they have a facebook group to keep everyone motivated about the detox.
