It’s the same way at the start of the summer! It’s new routines and schedules and bedtimes and what to pack and how to prepare. Life changes in general aren’t always smooth, but I love that we make it exciting in our household. This summer held a lot of transitions and changes. It was our longest kid-free trip of all time – 3,000 miles from home. Then the kids and I spent a week in Cape Cod with some of the comforts of home – like home friends and familiar beach houses and comfy beds – but also new experiences. Like they both did Circus Camp hours from home and not knowing anyone else there! I expect great things from 2nd and 5th grade for these kids…Like incredible new snacks!
I don’t have to tell you twice how much we love Welch’s® Fruit ‘n Yogurt™ Snacks. You already know my story. The kids love them and I love them too. It’s a snack we can share. We all have different favorite flavors. Scarlet loves Strawberry, Des loves Blueberry, and I love Cherry.
They’re made with real fruit, they deliver the delicious taste that kids love, and they’re a perfect snack. And not only that, but they’re great in simple recipes! We love to make Frozen Yogurt Pops with them because they retain their creamy goodness and go SO WELL with yogurt. As you’d expect. This is a really fun recipe that kids love to help you make.
Frozen Yogurt Pops with Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks:
What You Need:
1+ box of Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks in Strawberry
1+ box of Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks in Blueberry
2 full-sized graham crackers, crushed to fine crumbs
1 large container, 32 oz., vanilla yogurt (can use other flavors)
What You Do:
1 – First, scoop 1 teaspoon of yogurt into each mold cavity
2 – Then, add 3 Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks and repeat two more times, finishing with a teaspoon of yogurt
3 – Make sure after each Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks addition, you tap the mold so they sink into the yogurt a bit
4 – Finish by adding 1 teaspoon of graham cracker crumbs to the top of the mold – add sticks and freeze overnight
5 – To remove from mold, remove from the freezer and let set on the counter for 5-10 minutes or run mold under warm water to loosen the yogurt bars
6 – Lastly, remove from mold and serve immediately
*To store, remove from mold and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator
Now what do you think about that? They are REALLY good. The Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks are an awesome addition to frozen yogurt pops. Paired with the graham cracker crumbs, it’s truly a perfect after school snack. And since the molds we have make 10 pops, they’re perfect for two kids – five days a week as an after school snack, or if the kids have a weekday afternoon or weekend play date, I feel covered with delicious snacks! I like to make them and freeze them overnight. And I’ve already had a few parents ask me for the recipe, so I thought that I simply had to share it here! And I love to eat them by myself for dessert with a very good book.
