I remember when my kids started loving guacamole and I didn’t even have to make this amazing Frankenstein Guacamole Platter for them, but you have to admit, it sure has style. It’s so easy to make and of course, guacamole is such a delicious dish. It’s perfect for parties, but sometimes Cassidy will just whip up a bowl of it and we’ll eat it before dinner, or even with dinner. That’s right – I like to eat it with a spoon like a nutritious side dish. No matter how you like guacamole, there’s a good chance you’ll like it when it’s shaped like Frankenstein’s Monster, right? Yes, I know that Frankenstein is the doctor, but bear with me. Here’s the monster platter:
Frankenstein Guacamole Platter For Halloween:
What You Need:
3 medium ripe avocados, seeds removed and scooped from peel
1 garlic clove, minced
2 roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
¼ cup onion, finely diced
Juice from ½ lime
1 to 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, minced
½ jalapeno, seeds and membrane removed, finely diced (optional)
To make the Frankenstein, you will also need:
Blue corn tortilla chips (for the hair)
4 black olives (for the eyes, nose, and neck bolts)
Sliced red bell pepper (for the scar)
Carrot matchsticks (for the mouth)
What You Do:
1 – First, place all ingredients in a large bowl.
2 – And then smash avocado with a fork or pastry blender, and stir together until blended.
3 – Then make your Frankenstein as shown above and also in photos below:
This is best if served immediately. And then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator if needed. Guacamole will start to discolor within one day. Although maybe that will just add to the Halloween mystique! I suppose it’s up to you how you want this amazing recipe to turn out.
