We got a countdown calendar to Halloween this year, and we got it so early, that the numbers didn’t even really align with being 45 days out! We have been so excited about Halloween and it’s finally here! We kept going to drugstores and Target and being like, “Where are all the decorations??? Oh. Right. It’s September 15th. Carry on!” And don’t even get me started on how I tried buying myself my usual Christmas advent calendar, because I somehow thought the supply chain shortages would extend to advent calendars, in early October. It’s all good, though, because my favorite chocolate calendar is there now! So, cheers to patience, and wanting to celebrate all of the holidays all of the time. Last year was a bit of a bust, so a toast to this year.
A Few of Our Favorite Halloween Decorations!:
For starters, the candy bowl is a hit. And that is our favorite welcome mat, other than the one that says, “Dogs welcome. People tolerated.” In fact, it’s possible that we STILL have that welcome mat out from last Halloween. I honestly don’t know but I know it’s out there right now! And we have a new one that plays music when you step on it. Magic! And here are more gems:
The Absolute Favorite:
Although, we have always donated this to the school Halloween party, which we have always loved, but COVID canceled it two years in a row! Rumor has it, this guy is still in our school’s basement. Just sayin’ – this is the stuff of horror movies.
He’s terrifying inflated.. and even more terrifying deflated..
And here are some more favorites:
All of these decorations come from Lowe’s, Dollar General, and Party City, just from various errands and outings. I think there’s some nice stuff from Target too. We always have fun!
