And that’s just a shoutout to the people who mostly come on Fridays for my timey wimey, twisty curvy, topsy turvy posts. I put a little or a lot of myself in every post. And yet, when I’m looking for a recipe, I tend to keep scrolling to the actual recipe and I’m like, “Stop talking about your parakeet and show me the cookies!” The thing is, though, I’m a writer and I like to gab too. Also, I’ve been blogging for nine years so people are just showing up for whatever train wreck or masterpiece they’ll find. Sometimes you’ll find both in one place. Train wreck and masterpiece:
I’m just going to tell you one story. When I was 14, I was kind of goth. Lightweight goth. I had dark hair already, and loved wearing black clothing and dark lipstick. It ended there. No fishnets, although I love them now. No makeup or tattoos or dyed hair. Like I said – lightweight goth. Sometimes I tell people that and they are shocked. I like that. Sometimes I tell people that and they say, “Yeah, I could see that.” I love color, though. On me, in front of me, and on my shoes!

Trust me when I say that nothing is too bright for me. I’ve been making up for lost time for over 20 years – to overcompensate for that tiny snippet of goth life. What can I say? You can see my true colors. Look at this blog! The theme is rainbow sprinkles. I built my redesign around colors!
Easy Desserts: Spring Flower Pots:
Yields 12
What You Need:
Cups
2 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
14 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
6 drops red food coloring
Filling
3 ounce package chocolate pudding mix
2 2/3 cup milk, cold
Topping
1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
8 drops green food dye
Flower lollipops – chocolate or hard candy
What You Do:
1 – First, preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2 – Add graham cracker crumbs, butter, and sugar to a bowl and mix until combined
3 – Then add food coloring and mix until desired color
4 – Press crumb mixture into mini popover pan, working upward with fingers building a cup shape
5 – Bake for 12 minutes or until just beginning to brown – slight sinking of the walls is normal because of the nature of the recipe – so use a spoon to correct and continue baking
6 – Then allow to cool completely in pan
7 – In a large mixing bowl, beat milk and pudding mixture together until smooth
8 – Then scoop pudding into cups
9 – In a small mixing bowl, using a fork, mix coconut and food dye, until desired shade of green
10 – And then sprinkle coconut mixture on top of pudding
11 – Next, cut lollipop stems to desired height
12 – Lastly, place lollipops and allow 5 minutes to set and then it’s picture perfect!

So, what are your favorite easy desserts?

Can’t really picture you as a goth. But I think we all had our moments as teens. I went through a Seattle Grunge phase there during the height of Nirvana and Pearl Jam. But that said, you my friend will always be just rainbow sprinkles to me – always! Hugs and love your spring flower pots almost as much as I love you <3
It made my day that you said that! Truly it wasn’t what I wanted in my heart. I rarely wear black because of it.
Love you!
They are so cute – I love graham cracker crusts. I don’t have a mini pop-over pan, but I bet I could figure out an alternative….
Definitely! And we are popover obsessed so that’s why we have so many popover pans. Wish I could lend you one!
Cute and easy are my favorites! I need a mini popover pan. And as a high schooler I had uber-blonde power 90’s hair. Goth would have been better.
I don’t know. I bet you looked hot! Everyone needs a mini popover pan. I want to start a mini popover drive through restaurant in my yard. We have the space!
Such a cute idea and a lovely way to celebrate Spring. Thanks, Tamara.
Thank you! We still have so much snow on the lawn that it’s hard to imagine it’s spring, but the sun feels amazing.
Just when I think your desserts couldn’t get any cuter – they get cuter! I love how colorful these are too. They’d be so cute at the place settings for Easter. I’ve never liked black clothing enough to be goth!
haha, I canNOT picture you goth. Ever. You’re just too glowy.
I just love these! So perfect for a spring tea party! They are almost too cute to eat. 🙂
I feel that way. And Scarlet won’t eat the lollipops. She said they’d have to be chocolate! I agree.
Tamara those are almost too adorable to eat! Almost 😉
These look so yummy and the design is great especially for kids!
These are the cutest ever and perfect for spring! Pinned!
