Ok, maybe I’m not NOWHERE near done, but I’m not done. These are pretty awesome. They have everything my kids like. Pudding. Milk. Crushed OREOs. Peeps. Strawberries. Cadbury Mini Eggs. Even orange chocolate is a novelty for them. And yes, Des joined Team Peep yesterday. He has an after school building class and they made wooden structures that were held together with jelly beans, and which housed some chicken Peeps. He was so afraid that Scarlet would eat his Peep, that he took a bite of it, decided he loved it, and ate it all. And he had spoiled his dinner too! All in the name of pride. And sibling rivalry.
I myself had a bossy big sister (ahem, good leader sister) but I never joined Team Peep. That’s ok because there’s a lot else to love here. You can use any kind of candy eggs, but we had our eye on the prize with Cadbury Mini Eggs:
Ingredients:
4 clear plastic 9 oz. cups
1 3.9 oz box of instant chocolate pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
12 OREOs filling removed crushed
4 Peep bunnys
4 ripe strawberries
Orange melting wafers
Egg candies – we used Cadbury Mini Eggs
Instructions:
1 – First, make pudding according to package directions and evenly distribute between four plastic cups
2 – Next, place in refrigerator and chill until set (about 5 mins.)
3 – Then, prepare strawberries by washing and drying
4 – Melt orange wafers in double broiler or in microwave and stir until melted
5 – Dip strawberries up to the green stems and lay on wax or parchment paper to harden (about 10 mins.)
6 – Add leftover melted wafers to a sandwich size ziplock bag and snip the end off and make stripes across strawberries to look like carrots
7 – Let set a few more mins.
8 – Place OREOs in a ziplock bag and roll them with a rolling pin until crushed
9 – Sprinkle crumbled OREO mixture on top of pudding cups, add a Peep bunny, one strawberry “carrot”, and a few candy eggs
10 – Lastly, enjoy these Easter treats because they are delightful!

Do you think one shape or color of Peeps tastes better than others?

Omg, we really are twins today!! And love when we have similar ideas on our blogs, my friend <3
It’s because we’re twins for life! Won’t ever change!
Love this idea and peeps are just the cutest thing. We cannot have Easter without them!
Those pudding cups are so cute!
Ha ha – I’m the bossy older sister :)! The boys won’t be home for Easter, so we’re going to my mom’s house for brunch. She loves chocolate pudding so maybe I’ll make these for you!
I’m not even a chocolate person, but you’ve got me over here wishing I could eat these! Say what now?!?! You couldn’t be more accurate about how friggin’ CUTE these are!!!! I was NEVER a Peeps person, EVER… But they do come in all sorts of cute shapes/themes/etc! How many of these did Scarlet eat?! 😉
haha, not many! Too much chocolate for her. See? You two really are soulmates.
Madison loves putting her peeps in pudding and I had no idea it was a thing until now. I just thought she had strange taste. LOL Guess they must taste better than they look. I’m going to have to show her this.
What can’t OREO and PEEPS make better?! Yum! We had some disease over Easter, but I want to now make everything we missed out on. Like this 🙂
