We started early this year, because we really couldn’t resist. It’s our favorite holiday and we know it will look a little different this year, with everything going on, and a new baby too! So, we’ve been putting effort into making this holiday even more fun and safe than ever, to take our minds off of 2020, and to give the kids a truly special season. And that’s why Dollar General is your Halloween Headquarters, to help you celebrate happily and safely. They’ve got it all! Halloween-themed PPE, like face masks and covering, as well as cute costumes, spooky decor for both indoors and outdoors, and supplies for Halloween crafts, baking, and scavenger hunts.
Dollar General is Your Halloween Headquarters for a Safe and Happy Halloween:
Our Halloween Porch Décor:
Honestly, is there anything better than decorating a porch? Our porch is what everyone sees and since we have a lot of people in our yard right now, due to a home renovation, they are loving our porch! And yes, we may have even put out some candy for them. I mean – they’re loving it! The porch project is an annual one, and the kids get excited every year. This year they needed that extra excitement to shop and decorate early. So check out what we got for it!
We got that ADORABLE Haunted House door mat, and it comes in other varieties as well. We got ghost stakes that fit into our mums, some skeleton decorations, spooky looking chains, candy bowls, and the funniest talking candy dish EVER! He is motion-activated so will scare those people reaching for candy. He actually came in clown form too, but it was too spooky for my son. My guess is that you’ll love both! The pirate or the clown! And my kids loved the dog skeleton on the steps. We loved getting such high value items during our shopping haul!
Halloween Weekend Crafts and Baking Party:
Of course you know that Dollar General is full of amazing crafts and baking projects. We really love brownies, so we paired Salted Caramel Brownies with Lolly Stick Kits to make cute pumpkin crafts. This was a special use of a Sunday in early fall – just being together and doing festive activities right at home. Definitely check my Stories soon to see more of our creations.
And Of Course, Your Halloween Headquarters for Costumes!
Did you know that Dollar General has costumes galore? As well as accessories and makeup packs. My kids found exactly what they needed, and decided to get dressed up for Halloween early this year. It’s really hard to resist! Keep checking my Instagram and Stories to see more:
Halloween Backyard Scavenger Hunt/Party:
And of course, we have a super creative and affordable idea here! Make a Scavenger Hunt or any kind of Candy Hunt! What we did was get the kids treat bags from Dollar General. Then, like an Easter Egg Hunt, we hid high-quality candy all through the yard. They had such fun looking for it! When they found all the candy, or so we think, we came in for sweet drinks and a little candy party – where they could dump out their candy and trade it too. This is another way to have fun at home! In fact, everything we planned is for safe fun at home, which we think is important.
