Christmas Tree Cosmic Brownies
Do you love Cosmic Brownies? Do you love all things festive? Christmas Tree Cosmic Brownies are pretty much Cosmic Christmas Perfection! I remember eating Cosmic Brownies as a kid. I’m not sure why I don’t still buy them as an adult so that my kids can experience the new wonder. Hmm.. I think I’ll have to work on that one soon! In the meantime, enjoy this happy recipe!
Christmas Tree Cosmic Brownies:
What You Need:
1 box brownie mix, batter prepared according to package directions
1/3 cup plus 2 Tbsp heavy whipping cream
12 ounce bag white chocolate chips
Green food coloring (or you can mix blue and yellow)
Candy coated mini chocolate chips

What You Do:
1 – First, preheat the oven to the baking temperature indicated on the box of brownie mix.
2 – Prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper, leaving overhang along the sides to make it easier to lift the brownies out of the pan after baking.
3 – Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan, and then bake according to the package directions.

4 – Then, remove from the oven and cool the brownies to room temperature in the pan.

5 – Pour the heavy cream into a medium microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave on high for 60-90 seconds until hot.

6 – Add the white chocolate chips and stir until completely melted; then mix in green food coloring until your desired color is reached.

7 – Pour the frosting over the brownies and spread out evenly; then sprinkle the candy-coated mini chocolate chips all over top of the frosting.

8 – Place the pan of frosted brownies in the refrigerator to chill until the frosting is completely set; about 1 hour.
9 – Once set, lift the brownies out of the pan. Use a sharp knife to cut the sheet of brownies longways across into three strips.
10 – Cut each strip into triangles to resemble Christmas trees.

Makes 18 servings
Notes:
I didn’t have green food coloring on hand, so I mixed blue and yellow.
Instead of cutting the Christmas trees with a knife, cookie cutters can be used if preferred.
The brownies keep well at room temperature for up to a week.
