So as far as Christmas recipes go.. yeah.. this one is from last year too. I didn’t get it up in time!

As far as Christmas recipes go, Christmas Window Treats are sure to delight your guests this holiday season! Perfect for school parties and Christmas Eve!

Finish the Sentence Friday is taking a week off, so I figured I could too. That doesn’t mean really take a week off from my blog – but it means that I’m sharing this delightful recipe while spending time with my family in NJ. It was a long time coming. We haven’t had Thanksgiving in NJ in ages, and I’m actually really excited to take three days off from work. I have no real business doing that – with five photo shoots to edit still – and a ton of blog posts and editing to do when I get back.

That said, my heart says to take an actual break. My heart also loves Christmas recipes!

Christmas Recipes: Christmas Window Treats:

What You Need:

1 pkg. Little Debbie Fancy Cakes
4 oz. Wilton Black Chocolate Melts
1 Can Green Frosting
1 Can White Frosting
Small Round Flat Sprinkles, multi-color
Gold Star Sprinkles
Yellow Food Coloring

What You Do:

1 – First, mix the yellow coloring into the white frosting and frost the top of each snack cake with a thin layer

2 – Then, put some green frosting into a small plastic baggie, and pipe a small Christmas tree on top of each cake

3 – Sprinkle some of the multi-color sprinkles on the trees, and add a star on the top of each tree

4 – Next, melt the chocolate per package directions and put into a small plastic baggie

5 – Pipe a line all the way around the top of each snack cake, and then pipe a line across the middle and down the middle from top to bottom over the trees – they should look like windows

6 – Then let the cakes sit for the chocolate to harden

7 – These cute Christmas windows are great for holiday parties!
