So when I found out about new OREO Dark Chocolate and OREO Carrot Cake Cookies, I ran right to Walmart to grab some. And I’m not exaggerating. I think there was maybe a 20 minute window between first finding out about them on a friend’s blog, and then having them happily in my hands. I’m all about chocolate so Dark Chocolate is definitely my favorite flavor of the two. I like to pair it with an ice cold glass of milk (there’s nothing like having it ice cold) and an afternoon book! Happy.
That said, I love Carrot Cake too, and that’s why I have to share my recipe for Carrot Cake OREO Blondies. They’re absolutely delicious, and so easy to make. Did you know that you can turn cake mix into blondies? It’s so easy to do.
Carrot Cake OREO Blondies:
What You Need:
Buttercream – we use our own family recipe
Carrots, freshly grated
1 box carrot cake mix
1/4 cup canola oil
1/3 cup milk
OREO Carrot Cake Cookies
What You Do:
1 – Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a rectangular baking pan with nonstick spray
2 – Combine carrot cake mix, egg, and canola oil in a large bowl and add the milk last
3 – Pour it into your baking pan and bake for 25 minutes until the edges are golden brown
4 – Cool first, and then add buttercream before cutting into squares
5 – Then top with freshly grated carrots and one half of an OREO Carrot Cake Cookie
It’s like magic! Now when I see a new flavor of OREO cookie, I ALWAYS buy it. I’m talking 100% of the time. There’s never been a flavor I wouldn’t try. These Dark Chocolate and Carrot Cake flavors were exciting to me! And apparently I’m not alone in this love, because OREO at Walmart is celebrating “The Stuf Inside.” The Dark Chocolate flavor is a dark chocolate-flavored creme – sandwiched between two classic OREO chocolate wafers. Oh man, is it good!
As for OREO Carrot Cake Cookies, you can take a delicious break with these! This is a new twist on the favorite cookie of millions of people around the world. You can have your cake and eat it too with their cream cheese frosting flavored creme.
They’re wonderful alone (or with milk) and they’re wonderful as a topping to my carrot cake blondies. I think this would make a wonderful Easter recipe, and then maybe some Dark Chocolate Fudge with the OREO Dark Chocolate Cookies.
