Scarlet will be doing vocal lessons, piano lessons, Girls on the Run (track/running) and gymnastics. Des will be starting first grade with a new knowledge of books, and will hopefully take another after school cooking or acting class. I definitely loved his culinary creations! Ultimately, I just want them to be happy. I want them to feel loved, encouraged, supported, and most importantly – well cared for. When I send them with lunch money, I think about what they might be eating, and if they’re happy with their friends and teachers. I think about them opening their backpacks to see snacks/notes I’ve packed.

The thing is, it’s natural to want the best for your kids, because we can all remember the best we’ve had. Regardless, they’re going to forge their own paths no matter what. While school is a big part of their lives, home life takes up a larger expanse of time, effort, love, and strength. And it’s not just what I say – it’s what I DO. My kids will tell me stories of things I did when they were three that they considered strong, unique, or fun. I love that! While building a family, I’m helping to shape their self-images, and their decision-making skills. This is so powerful, and so inspiring. I hope they like what they see and hear.

As you can see, we have a lot going on between the chaos of camp and vacation to the more organized chaos of back to school. Nutrition is as important as ever for back to school time. Quick and easy breakfasts and snacks help with time management. KIND Kids™ bars help with energy and focus during sports and activities – as well as other long days that need fueling – and to ease the transitions with sleep, scheduling, homework, etc.

They have 100% whole grains, including puffed sorghum and quinoa crisps. And the KIND Kids™ bars have 5g of sugar, which is 25% less than the leading snack bar*. Not to mention they’re an ingredients win for families! There are no artificial flavors or preservatives, and are gluten free. Lastly, they’re an experience win for kids! They’re kid-friendly with their chewy texture. They are right-sized, as well, being a smaller bar. And the taste is so good, that they never come back in camp or school lunch boxes at the end of the day. That is my favorite thing!

Ultimately, they make us happy and KIND is a wonderful brand to introduce into our house at this time. The transition won’t be easy, but the KIND Kids™ bars will remain consistent from summer road trips into fall sports practice. All I know is that my kids love the taste, and I love the ingredients. And I’d be lying if I told you I don’t eat them for myself as well. I love the flavors!

We love KIND bars! So good to know that they made some for kids. So much better than non-nutritional snacks. Very cool prize too!
My kids love these! I need to pick some now that we are already back in school!
