Creating Baby Registry: Top Nursery Must-Haves
Expectant parents know that having all the essential items for a newborn is essential. With so many options on the market, it can be confusing to know what to add to your baby registry list. Look no further – this guide will help you choose must-haves for your nursery!
Creating Your Baby Registry: The Top Nursery Must-Haves:
1 – Crib and Bassinet:
A crib is a great place for your baby to sleep, and an essential nursery must-have item. Choose one that fits your style and space, but always make sure it meets the safety standards of the country it’s intended for. Make sure there are no gaps between the mattress and edges as this could trap fingers or toes. Additionally, avoid acquiring used cribs as parts may be missing or outdated.
We love the KIMI Baby Bed with Organic Mattress – Desert and the KUMI Crib + Organic Coco Mattress – Mesh / Desert. And so great as a matching set!
2 – Dresser:
A dresser is another must-have item for the nursery. It’s important to have a place to store your little one’s clothes and other items, keeping them organized and within easy reach. Ensure that you purchase a dresser that conforms to safety standards, with rounded edges and a secure top. Look for pieces that have anti-tip hardware included so it can be firmly attached to the wall or nearby furniture for added stability. We adore the Juno 4 Drawer Changer. It’s made for safety, ease, and beauty too.
3- Changing Table:
A changing table will provide a comfortable and secure space to change diapers and dress your baby. It helps to make this job a bit easier as it can be uncomfortable for parents having to lean over with an arm full of supplies at times. If you are in need of saving space, consider getting either a portable changing pad or cushioned insert for the crib that offers extra comfort as well as storage. Both provide less stress on parents’ backs and help promote safety when caring for the baby. You can also get a dresser that has a changing table on top. So perfect! Like the 4 Drawer Changer, this one is the Juno Doublewide Changer.
4 – Baby Rocker:
Rockers, like the LEVO Baby Rocker – Camel, are a must-have from birth through seven months. This LEVO seat is now adjustable thanks to pressures and allows the harness to be positioned in two different positions. With its new removable harness, the LEVO turns into a nice rocking chair when the child grows up. This way, the rocker adapts to the child’s rhythm, providing more comfort for years to come.
5 – A Playmat:
We particularly like the TAMI Playmat – Peacock. This mat is exceptionally comfortable and soft, and covered with a 100% ultra-soft cotton poplin. It is made of a 3 cm thick foam guaranteed CertiPUR (safe for babies), which gives it a soft feel.
6 – Bjorn Bouncer:
Now I realize there’s already a bouncer in this list, but many parents do well well having more than one. And they’re both different ones, with different uses. This one is a hot ticket! The Bouncer Balance Soft, Cotton Jersey comes in many colors and is an ergonomic baby bouncer with natural rocking that makes life with young children easier and more enjoyable. This lightweight bouncer is easy to move around and take with you—they’re a cozy place for your baby to play close by you while you have your hands free for a while. The natural rocking of a bouncer usually has a comforting effect on a very young baby. As your baby grows and learns how to control the rocking, the bouncer becomes even more fun and also stimulates your baby’s balance and motor skills. But if you want to go the other way and keep them still, swaddling is still a thing. But it’s understandable if you’re still having questions like “are sleep sacks safe for babies?”
7 – A Baby Gym:
Honestly, I don’t know what we’d do without a baby gym. They are good for babies and even toddlers of all ages. The NAHO – Nativity Arch is a wonderful option. It is is ideal for stimulating the child from an early age because the wooden toys in different shapes to hang up will keep them awake and entertained. The NAHO ark’s sober and uncluttered design allows it to fit perfectly into your home. AND, it’s perfectly installed on the TAMI Playmat.
8 – A Perfect Chair:
The SABA Chair is the best! This is a small chair for children made of raw beechwood and 100% Italian felt, which will fit perfectly in any interior. Its unique and minimalist design will appeal to young and old alike. A real little king’s chair… or queen’s chair!
9 – A Perfect Bookcase:
The Juno Tall Bookcase will be so much fun to fill with books. One of the most common baby shower gifts is books, and who doesn’t love to create a library for a new baby?
10 – Choose a Reliable Baby Monitor:
When creating your baby registry, it’s important to find a reliable baby monitor that can help you take extra precaution in keeping your little one safe. Look for features like night vision and sound activation which can alert you if your baby stirs or cries in the middle of the night. Additionally, some monitors also come with temperature monitors so you can check the temperature in your baby’s room while they sleep. That’s why choosing a reliable monitor is one of the essential nursery must-haves! We have a dual-screen one from Babysense, so that we can see both babies in different rooms. I don’t have an affiliate link for them, but just wanted to share what we use.
