Beautiful Apple Spice Cake With Juicy Juice

I feel like I leveled up in the recipe world. It’s a simple concept – an apple spice cake – but you want to do it right. Luckily, you have plenty of options of how homemade (or not) you get with the cake and the frosting. Plus, you can use any relevant frosting flavor! We used cream cheese frosting mixed with cinnamon, and a boxed spice cake mix. The important part is the stovetop reduction of apples and 100% Juicy Juice on the stove. This part is not only fun, but it smells AMAZING. It takes about 15-17 minutes to cook the “sauce”, but if you go over that, it gets a little overcooked and perhaps is even more amazing. Trust me, you’re going to love this recipe.

Beautiful Apple Spice Cake With Juicy Juice:

What You Need:

1 cup Juicy Juice® 100% Juice, apple flavor
3/4 cup sliced dried apples, coarsely chopped
1 box (18.25 ounces) spice cake mix
1 cup water
3 large eggs
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 container (16 ounces) prepared vanilla, white or cream cheese frosting

What You Do:

1 – First, place Juicy Juice 100% juice and your chopped apples in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.

2 – Then, reduce heat to medium and cook for 15 to 17 minutes or until juice has evaporated; cool to room temperature.

3 – Then, preheat oven to 350° F. and grease and lightly flour 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

4 – Combine cake mix, water, eggs and applesauce in large mixer bowl, and then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.

5 – Fold in apples, and pour into prepared pan.

6 – Lastly, bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack, and then stir cinnamon into frosting to spread over cake.
