I had the baby! And it’s a cute boy! His name is Sawyer Bruce. The Sawyer is because it’s another LOST name. As you may remember, we had a LOST themed wedding and we named Desmond after the show as well. The Bruce is varied, because the other three kids have “B” middle names, and we all love Bruce Banner, and I have had a nearly lifelong love of Bruce Hornsby. I’m sorta, kinda taking it easy this week, as I have never really had a REAL maternity leave and I’ve been humbled by having to go BACK to the hospital for a few hours (not for anything serious, but the whole spinal headache story will come out in future weeks). So I’ve had a few forced days of bed (couch) rest and now I’m back to organizing things and making kid lunches, but also, giving myself some grace as well. I will surely be back soon to tell some stories and write some words.
And now, you HAVE to see the birth video! We’ve done one with each kid, but this one required all hands on deck, and was truly our Swan Song baby/baby video finale. If you have a spare six minutes, pop some popcorn and enjoy this. And if you don’t have a spare six minutes, well, make some time. Life is meant for watching birth videos like this one. And maybe with ice cream.

I’ve always liked Swan Song from this very underrated album which is one of Bruce’s finest. On a lighter side the tempo and key signature of Swan Song reminds me of Across The River. That Song Rocks!🎵
Aw Sawyer looks so perfect! I remember the LOST Sawyer character. Hard to believe that was almost 20 years ago! I am sorry to hear you had to go back to the hospital and hope that your headaches are gone. Congratulations to all of you!!
