I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for KitchenIQ. I received promotional items to thank me for my participation.
After getting an amazing set of KitchenIQ products earlier this fall, I put out a call for a relaxing weekend brunch. It’s hard with kids and schedules and the fall foliage photo shoots of October, but we made it work on a sunshiney morning mid-month. My in-laws came over, as well as some close friends. We fired up some decorations, set the table and ate delicious food.
We served Olaf waffles, pan-fried french toast, scrambled eggs with cheese, oven-cooked bacon, breakfast potatoes, apple cider & coffee. I wanted food that would be delicious, kid-friendly and would show off the awesome KitchenIQ products.
To prepare brunch, we used a few products – pans and wafflers and the oven, but also three KitchenIQ products. The Better Zester was used for a citrus flavor on the french toast. The Better Zester features a stainless steel v-etched Zester blade, which is great for zesting all kinds of citruses. Is zesting a word? Yes. The non-stick food approved coating allows for smoother zesting and easier clean up. The fresh zest container includes measurements and holds the grated zest.
Since I love breakfast (and lunch & dinner) potatoes, more than most things, I was happy Cassidy used The Potato Tool to make hash browns. The Potato Tool has a scrub brush for cleaning potatoes, and even other vegetables, and it has a paring knife which stores safely inside the peeler handle. Since things tend to fly out of my hands, I’m happy it has an ergonomic, soft grip and non-slip handle, as well as non-stick stainless steel blades on the straight edge peeler and paring knife.
The Edge Grip Knife Sharpener is a bestseller on Amazon, and with good reason! This was a bit of the star of our show. Its unique design sharpens straight edge double-beveled Euro/American style knives, with two stages of sharpening in one compact unit. The coarse sharpening slot includes carbide blades that quickly sharpen dull or damaged knives with just a few pulls, and the fine slot’s ceramic rods are ideal for finishing and polishing the edge. They are also perfect for light touch-ups to already sharp knives. The Edge Grip Bottom allows stable sharpening on the counter top or the edge of the counter top or table, as I watched Cassidy do. The Edge Grip Knife Sharpener was designed in the USA by Smith’s Consumer Products, Inc. – the Edge Experts since 1886. We needed knives for every aspect of our brunch, and we needed sharp ones.
All in all, thank you KitchenIQ for providing us with the tools to make a delicious brunch for family and friends. I am right in my element, sitting with loved ones and eating delicious food on a beautiful fall morning. Our guests got to keep their own Better Zesters, which was a really fun bonus from KitchenIQ.
